First and foremost, its ideal location is worth noting. The hotel is situated on a quiet side street in the very center of the city, in a late 19th-century historic building. All major attractions, museums, and the Angara embankment are within walking distance. Despite this central location, it was completely quiet outside at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The room (I stayed in a designer retro room) was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. It featured a very comfortable bed with high-quality bedding, a modern bathroom, and nice extras like bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries. The service deserves special commendation. The front desk staff were very welcoming and responsive, assisting with all my inquiries. Upon check-in, I was even treated to a signature liqueur – a pleasant Siberian gesture. I definitely recommend this hotel for both business trips and leisure. The value for money here is among the best in the city. I will certainly stay here again during my next visit to Irkutsk!"

However… however… however… the tram outside is terrifying! Every time it passes, the ground shakes and the thunderous roar scares me half to death. The last tram runs until midnight, and the first tram wakes me up at 4:20 AM, making it unsuitable for resting during a trip."

"The location is good; there are bus stops right outside and across the street (though communication is difficult and you don't need to take them). A taxi from the airport should cost around 600 rubles (don't let drivers quote a price or use the meter; they overcharged me over 2000 rubles on my first day!). When I first arrived, I felt it was quite unfair; from the front desk to the restaurant, not a single staff member was willing to help me get change. It was only thanks to a Chinese person in the lobby that I received assistance! Later, when I dined at the restaurant, they still gave me change! The hotel's cleanliness and room layout were quite good, but there was always only one set of toiletries. If you called the front desk, they would quickly bring more. Perhaps it's a difference in environmental awareness. The service was acceptable, and the breakfast was excellent!"
