"I finally got to watch the Bouldering Youth Championships in Kurayoshi, a place I'd always wanted to visit. I also included the Sand Museum in my itinerary, so I was looking for accommodation in or near Tottori City. I chose this place because the food looked delicious. It felt more like an older traditional Japanese inn than a modern hotel. A slightly older woman, who seemed like the proprietress, explained and handled everything regarding the inn. When I mentioned I'd be arriving a little late, they adjusted the start of dinner. The meal was very luxurious and satisfying, with hot pot, sashimi, tempura, and more. Breakfast was also a nostalgic Japanese meal with grilled fish, grilled vegetables, and seaweed. It was wonderful to enjoy breakfast while looking out at the sea through the large glass window. The room was a spacious Japanese-style room, which reminded me of the pillow fights I had on school trips. Hot water was provided in the kettle. I fell asleep listening to the sound of the waves. Originally, the room didn't have a private bath or toilet, but I thought it would be okay since there was a large public bath. However, I was told that part of the public bath was broken and only the shower was usable. "If you want to take a bath, please use the bath in room 302. Another group of guests on the 3rd floor might also use the bath in room 302, but it will be fine if you lock the door (you won't overlap)." I was confused. I didn't like the idea of ​​having to be considerate of other guests in a place like a bath. It would have been better if they had set a time limit of about an hour. I suppose they prepared it as an apology for not being able to use the public bath. If you don't mind this kind of thing, or if you can use the public bath, I think it's a good value inn!"

"As a long-time "free" fan, Tottori Iwami Town is a must-visit. I chose this "Kamaya Kamen" from the Iwami Town Tourism Agency website. It is near Uradomi Coast, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Uradomi Coast. Take bus No. 33 in front of Tottori Station and get off at "Uradome Kaiganguchi", which is opposite. The whole journey takes about an hour. The hotel is a typical old Japanese building; it has a sense of age, and all hotels have free Wi-Fi; the washbasin and toilet are outside the room; the bathroom is on the first floor and is public (but only used by one person at a time). I booked a hotel room and two meals, and Uradome's seafood will be served for dinner according to the season. The hotel is mainly managed by two grandmothers who are nearly 80 years old. The day of check-in coincided with Japan's third consecutive holiday, so most of the guests were Japanese. The hotel website states that it only accepts foreign tourists who can speak Japanese and English. The old lady will try her best to introduce the room facilities, meal times, etc. in unskilled English. On the day I checked out, the old lady asked me if I was a "free" fan? I said yes, and she also gave me two free postcards. There is also a millet shop next to the station opposite the hotel. I was a little nervous about choosing this hotel at first, as there were no reviews on Ctrip. Because I would arrive early, I specifically asked Ctrip if I could help contact the hotel, and Ctrip was very responsible in contacting me. When we finally arrived at the hotel, the old lady helped arrange our luggage. I went to take the Uradome Cruise, and when I came back, my luggage was already in the room. The hotel facilities are not too high-end, but it feels like staying at home. If you want to experience this feeling, just choose "Kamaya"."

"I booked an all-inclusive room, but I wasn't informed of this when I checked in. The front desk was too unfriendly, and there was no information about the garden bar that was supposed to be available at night. This is my third stay at this inn, and I really like the baths, but the food and service are gradually getting worse."
