It's incredibly convenient being so close to the airport, and the shuttle service makes travel stress-free 🚕 (a special shout-out to the shuttle drivers, who are always super friendly and give helpful reminders to guests). The breakfast is incredibly generous for a hotel in this price range ☕️👍. When I returned this time, the check-in was handled by the 'Front Desk Manager 💓,' who provided excellent service. As a returning guest from out of town, we even received welcome fruit, which was a lovely gesture and showed the hotel's sincerity. Overall, it was a fantastic and thoughtful experience 👍👍👍."

"My kids love watching fountains, so we specifically came to Jinan to see them. This hotel is pretty close to Quancheng Square, about a five-minute walk, and there's a Ginza shopping mall right downstairs, which is convenient for shopping. The only issue was that the front desk staff seemed very rushed and distracted when I was checking in, as if they were busy with something else. They just ran off after processing my check-in, which led to us not being able to find our room cards and ID. We had to ask another staff member to help us find them."

"The name says 'hotel', but it's more like a guesthouse, converted from a restaurant. You can tell the room is a bit small – it'd be fine if it were a hotel private room, but the entire place and the room itself are very well-designed. First, the cons: 1. The laundry room has limited and somewhat outdated equipment. There's one dryer and one washer-dryer combo. What I don't understand is why the laundry detergent is at the front desk when the laundry room is on the 3rd floor. There's also no laundry basket in the room. 2. The breakfast selection is a bit limited. The food procurement needs to focus on fresh ingredients; the greens I had this time were a bit old. No coffee, no iced milk. And no napkins on the dining tables. 3. The room outlets lack USB-C ports. Now for the pros: 1. The hotel's location is excellent. Across the street is Shangxin Street, and just a left turn outside leads to the South Gate of Baotu Spring. Daming Lake is only 1.5km away. 2. There's a view. My room had a bay window, and some rooms have balconies (see pic 13). This 'do not disturb' indicator is something I haven't seen in a long time. While it's traditional and should be preserved, I suggest adding a 'do not disturb' light switch inside the room. Currently, an external light on means someone is in the room, and off means it's empty. 3. The front desk ladies are kind and beautiful, always ready to answer any questions! The service is excellent. After checking in, someone from cleaning escorted us to our room door and thoroughly explained the room's facilities and how to use them. 4. Each room seems to receive two large bottles of filtered Black Tiger Spring water, which is drinkable. However, it's not chilled. If they consider customer needs, they could chill one bottle in the fridge. In summary, the value for money is slightly low, but the overall experience was good. I hope the areas for improvement can be addressed."

There was a metro construction going on in front of the hotel while I stayed there, so staff offered me a quiet room facing the back side of the hotel, very considerate and mindful. Meanwhile cleanliness is a let down. Found this bug at the toilet floor. Noise cancelling wasn’t very great either, you can hear neighbours having great night while walking down the corridor lol Other than that, bed is comfortable, air con works just fine and AI smart home is A+ made your life easier."

The hotel's location is excellent, right at the entrance of Daming Lake; you're in the scenic area as soon as you step out. Even though the front desk staff are all young '00s girls, they are very enthusiastic."

"Following up on my previous review of the king room. The most baffling thing happened after we switched to the executive twin room. My friend arrived at the hotel at 10:30 PM, but I hadn't told the front desk her name, nor had I informed them that someone would be coming. I also requested two room cards and didn't leave one at the front desk for her to pick up. However, when my friend arrived at 11 PM, she went directly to the front desk to check in. The front desk staff asked for the room number and my name, which my friend provided. Without even calling me to confirm, they issued her a third room card and allowed her to use it to come up to the room. This is truly terrifying, especially since I booked an executive room – it feels like there's absolutely no privacy. I'd like to ask, what's the point of hotels limiting room card access to only the floor you're staying on, when they can just issue a room card to someone else without the room owner's permission? The next day, the hotel called and directly addressed my friend by name, even after I corrected them, they continued to make the same mistake for two days. Intercontinental, you've really lost your charm for me. Also, a complaint about the Eggs Benedict at breakfast – they claim it's freshly made, but it's clearly a pre-made dish that's just been heated on the surface. The egg skin was burnt, and the inside was cold. The third picture is of the executive lounge dinner, and the variety was quite limited as well. Very disappointing."

"The room was very damp and had a musty smell. The air conditioning wasn't working, and when I tried to open the window for fresh air, it was too noisy outside. I had to endure the moldy smell and managed to get a few hours of sleep, even though I had to cover my mouth with the blanket. But then it got too hot, so I kept pulling the blanket on and off all night. After those few hours of sleep, it felt like mold was growing in my throat. For the same price, you could definitely find other hotels, like the Hanting Express next door, which at least offers the reliability of a chain hotel."
