"We came here for a new years experience, hoping to have a good ski holiday. Which we did. The transfer listed told us it would take us 1.5 hrs to arrive in which it took three. Once we arrived we were told the all inclusive didn’t start until 6pm. This meant we were forced to leave and find ourselves food and drink. The beer tap didn’t work for half our trip neither the juice. The drinks you have avalible are limited. If you want a Prosecco or spirit drink you have to pay. I.e. not all inclusive. You shouldn’t list your hotel as all inclusive if you have to pay for something. To all English people the food is very different. Myself and my partner ate out every night as it wasn’t to our taste. All things given the bus stop and location is impeccable. But personally save your money and book elsewhere."

We were pleased with both the hearty breakfast and the excellent dinner. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I recommend not missing out on the Revier Spritz :-)"

"Perfect place to stay if you want to do activities by the mountains surrounding it. There's a great supermarket close by. Nice calm atmosphere. Everything in the rooms are completely functional and cozy, I like that it kind of feels like a cabin. My only complaint is the food, I don't recommend the the food at all as every baked good they had in the morning was always stale, I preferred to walk to the supermarket close by for breakfast instead. While the rooms are lovely I recommend bringing heavy Winter pyjamas even if you're going in Summer as the rooms are freezing at night, and the bed while extremely soft and comfortable is not warm enough."

We even got small farewell gift and loyalty reward."

"Another amazing stay! We loved the hotel so much last year that we came back for a longer stay. The hotel is ideally located in Kaprun and is walking distance to the supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants. It's also right next to the alpine coaster. It includes the summer card which gave us free entry to a lot of activities as well as a discount for the zoo and gemstone search, both of which the kids really enjoyed. Amazing stay, great spacious rooms, good breakfast. Definitely a place I'll be recommending to family and friends."

"Wonderful hotel. We have stayed there in the past as well. Great welcome, friendly staff, clean and spacious room. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety. The ski room is very convenient, reachable both by the elevator (inside) or on foot from outside. The hotel is located close to one of the gondolas which lead to one of the slopes and to the summit. The distance can be done easily on foot. Generally speaking it was a wonderful stay and we certainly would come again!"

"The apartment itself was nice and modern, however there was a serious issue with pricing. Upon arrival, we were hit with a hidden €215 “final cleaning” fee that was not clearly disclosed when we booked (it was only mentioned in fine print and not included in the total price shown). This fee significantly increased the cost of our 2-night stay – by almost 35% more than what we expected to pay. I find this practice extremely non-transparent and unfair to guests. Both the hotel and the booking site refused to refund the charge, so I want to warn others to be aware of this hefty hidden fee."

"We stayed in a 2 bedroom superior Type 1 apartment with 4 adults and a baby. Very impressed and would highly recommend. We stayed in apartment 8 on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel. With the windows and doors shut, you can’t hear the road, but with the windows open you get the odd noisy neighbour walking past late at night. One bedroom had an en-suite with a shower and the other had a bathroom off the hall with a bath and shower. Each bedroom had their own balcony as well as a balcony off the living area. All rooms had a lovely view of the mountains. We didn’t use the sofa bed, so can’t comment on that. VAYA provided a cot for the baby, although it was not suitable for such a young baby and we ended up using the bassinet from the pushchair we bought with us. The whole apartment was really well renovated and was lovely and clean (possibly except a bit of dust under the sofa, beds etc which possibly doesn’t get cleaned every time). The table had plenty of room for 6 people, with a large sofa and 2 arm chairs. Kitchen was good. No microwave which was not a massive issue, except we’d got microwave steriliser bags for the baby which we couldn’t use. Our group consisted of 2 skiers, 2 non skiers and a 3 month old baby. The skiers were impressed with the ski room - clean, warm and plenty of space. There was no mat or shoe tray inside the apartment for wet shoes, so the floor would get really wet. We asked reception for a spare mat which was provided straight away. This helped but would definitely be feedback for VAYA to provide a tray or mat of some sort to help save their nice flooring and to stop wet socks! There was underfloor heating which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect with a bus stop right outside. It’s a short walk to the local Maiskogel ski area and a short 15/20 minute bus to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier one way or Zell ‘em Zee the other. Really friendly and helpful staff, would definitely stay again!"

"We stayed as a family of five and were very happy here. Our three children had a bed each in the second room so no one had to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge. There was a lovely spacious living room / kitchenette that made cooking and eating together very enjoyable. The supermarket in town is great with a huge selection and only a 5 minute walk away. The ski locker was fine with plenty of space for multiple families to don boots etc. There is a great sauna that was very welcome after a good days skiing. The bus to the main ski area is an easy 2 minute walk. You can walk to Kaprun centre in ski boots in perhaps 10minutes. The apartment was cleaned and prepared every day. Staff all super friendly and super helpful. There was a balcony on two side of the apartment with lovely views, although on this trip it was more useful as an outside beer chiller. Fab place. Would recommend."
Hotel St. Florian - Kaprun
"Unfortunately, we had many bad experiences. The entire staff (Czech) barely spoke, if at all, the local language. We didn't get very far with English either. As a result, placing orders and other communication were impossible. Contracted services, such as the evening buffet of appetizers, were not provided. The food was very basic. Appetizers and main courses were often brought almost simultaneously, even before we had finished the appetizer. The same CD played in the background six times in a row each evening for six days. The spa area was sometimes closed and only opened after we specifically asked for it. A complete disappointment! We do not recommend this hotel."

"We had a wonderful stay at Dorfchalets Kaprun! From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm and friendly welcome. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, thoughtful, and always willing to help or think along with us to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location is excellent — perfectly situated in Kaprun with easy access to the surrounding mountains, ski areas, and village center. Everything you need is close by, yet the atmosphere remains peaceful and relaxing. The apartments/chalets are modern, beautifully designed, and spotless. They are fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and you can really see the attention to detail in both the interior and cleanliness. We truly had a fantastic and relaxing stay and would highly recommend Dorfchalets Kaprun to anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and a perfect location in the Alps. We would love to come back!"
The Kaprun Edition - Luxury Chalets & Style Suites
"The exact name of the premise is "Luxury Chalets & Style Suites" and we booked one night in their Suite. The whole property and a room was definitely far from being titled "Style" or "Luxury". most annoying was the smell in the room when entering, and few cleaning deficiencies, like cobweb in the bathroom, uncleaned bedding sheets, etc. Rather arogant receptionist gave us a spray to apply to fix the smell, cool! BTW, the suite house was literary embedded into a tiny space between other neighbouring buildings therefore whatever room side you had, you always faced the view to a couple meters distant wall."
