"I visited last year and found it quiet and peaceful, so I went back. The view of Lake Saroma from the room was wonderful, and the sunset on a clear day was especially memorable. The seafood was delicious, as expected, and the assorted platter served at the beginning was good. There was also a numbered card on the table, and when you presented it to the chef doing the kamado-yaki (pie wrap), he gave you a free serving of the finished product, which I think was an ingenious system. There were also binoculars in the desk drawer in the room, which showed consideration for bird watching."

Onsen Hotel Tsutsujiso
"After arriving, I had to wait a long time for the front desk staff to come out. I booked a hotel because I thought it was cheap online, but in addition to the online payment, there was also a separate on-site heating fee, not to mention the bathing tax. If you don't read the terms and conditions carefully before booking, you'll feel cheated. The bath is good. It seems to be sensitive to temperature, so the water was lukewarm on cold days. It's perfect for long baths. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable, with new tatami mats. The basic breakfast consisted of one soup and one dish (grilled fish). The eggs were piled up and marked "one per person." They didn't look as appetizing as advertised. They advertised Wi-Fi in all rooms, but it wasn't working in my room or the hallway in front of the room."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The room (Suzukaze) was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were top class, especially the staff who explained each dish with so much interest. And the onsen was so good, we didn’t feel like leaving!"
