Arima Hot Spring Ryokan Kotori Reviews

Arima Onsen is very quiet like this family-style hotel. There are private hot springs across the street and public breakfast and dinner, which are very rich! The choice this time was really correct. The whole family had a great time.

Not a bad experience. The hotel provides free round-trip transfer service, but you can only contact the hotel from 1430 on the day of arrival. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine, mainly fish dishes, and you need to walk to the sister hotel nearby (1-2 minutes away) to enjoy it. Breakfast is a set meal and you need to stay in the hotel to eat. The open-air hot spring included in the room is very good and the hygiene level is satisfactory. Other details (including seasonal menus) can be viewed in advance on the hotel's official website.

I booked a room with private soup (the rooms with private soup are very small), and the sanitation score is 4 because Japan is relatively strict, and the disinfectant at the door is a bit dirty. There is no elevator, so it is not very friendly to those who live on the second floor. The hotel is small and refined. Dinner is eaten at the sister hotel [御兴荘花结び], which is a one-minute walk away. Breakfast is on the first floor of the store. Arima Onsen is divided into gold soup (sulphur) and silver soup (carbonic acid), Kotori Arima is silver soup, and Miyuki Sohanagiび is gold soup, you can choose according to your own needs.

Very good Japanese-style hot spring hotel, one stay and two meals, so worth it!

It’s the first time I went to stay in a hotel in Arima Onsen. After arriving at the hot spring area, there is a special car to pick you up. It takes about 5 minutes by car. There are not many rooms so it is very quiet. Although the toilet is shared, it is very clean. You can have a private bath for 45 minutes. It takes about 1 minute to walk for dinner I went to the sister hotel Miyukiso Hanamuki. It was the first time I ate kaiseki cuisine. It was very delicious and exquisite. In addition, I could soak in the hot springs in Miyukiso Hanamuki. I went there after 9:30 in the evening. There was basically no one there 🤣The breakfast was amazing Overjoyed, the staff is very polite, it is a very cost-effective hotel.

A very delicate hotel, not many people, the environment is clean, quiet and comfortable, with a special flavor, The private bath is very positive. The food is delicious, and it's not too far to go to the sister restaurant.

The hotel staff is very friendly. We have a lot of luggage with children, and the hotel staff are very helpful to us. And the hotel has a private bath, you can take a bath with your children, and you are not afraid that they will be noisy and affect others.

One word "positive". This Xiaoduli is the other garden of another hot spring hotel above. There are kaiseki dishes and fire dinner. In the evening, you have to go up for a minute to eat, so you must go to the 7/F public bathing hot spring to soak first, and then go to eat. You can book a family room (two of them) for 45 minutes per room per day. Before arriving, you can call to book a car to pick you up at the station, and the hotel will email you in advance. The two meals included are very rich, with delicious ingredients, including beef and fish. There is a self-service water bar in the middle lobby, with hot and cold green tea, coffee, etc. There is no toilet in the room, you have to use the public toilet, but it is very clean. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the hot spring street, where you can spend half a day.

Good value for money but voice communication problems

A nice option for a ryokan stay in Arima-Onsen. The ryokan is very nice, the lobby itself is decorated in western style although the rooms are tatami. Kotori has an private indoor bath with a silver onsen, the gold onsen is a public bath located on the roof level at Hanamusubi, their sister hotel down the street and is free to use for Kotori guests. Dinner and breakfast were both traditional Japanese style meals and were very impressively presented and delicious. Dinner is served at Hanamusubi and breakfast is served at Kotori. The local main street and its shops are also a short walk away. The town of Arima Onsen is a bit hilly, but if that is an issue for you then Kotori offers pickup by car from the local train or bus stations. Highly recommended if you are looking for an ryokan & onsen experience in Arima Onsen!

The hotel is clean and beautiful. Staff are helpful.
