It is recommended to go to the Portimao pier to buy a ticket directly to go to the sea, or drive another half an hour to the more beautiful Lagos beach."

"The hotel room and location was great if you want to just relax and have beach time I would stay again The meaks were great For us we did find it a bit out of the way for touring other places and used bolt several times The pool area is nice with both inside and outside pools The beaches were very very nice but did have to work a bit to get down to them. We did enjoy the walk but there was lots of stairs (most places seem to have the same layout) We were there 2nd wee of Feb weather was nice but was not swimming weather"

"We booked this place because it is centrally located, close to many beaches, hiking trails, and not too far from Lagos. We had accommodation with two air-conditioned bedrooms (two beds for four adults). The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Our favorite part was the outdoor spaces and the owners. They work tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect and spotless 100% of the time. The outdoor atmosphere is truly unmatched. The breakfast is also carefully prepared. You can really feel the owners put their heart into it. I definitely recommend this place. As for parking, you can pay to secure a spot in the private lot, but we easily found parking nearby without any issues. We stayed for 5 nights and could have stayed even longer without hesitation"

"Brilliant vilas! Spacious and clean, they are very well equipped and the kitchens had everything we needed including a Nespresso machine. The private pool was great and there was a nice and large outside table as well as inside table, plus pool lounges. You do need a car, as otherwise it would be hard to get around, but parking on site which is great. A number of close supermarkets so we were easily about to get everything we need and have a much more cost effective and convenient trip, rather than have to pay to eat out for breakfast, coffee etc. We still went out for some meals and there are a lot of local options. Local beaches are quite small so we drove to some of the larger beaches about 30 mins away. Only downside is the sound does rather echo out. We had a group next to us who played a lot of music outside, so that was quite annoying, but it wasn’t late at night and it is quiet inside if you close the door."

"Rural Hotel Bricia du Mar was absolutely lovely and located in a quiet residential area. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained everywhere. Our room was large with a very well-equipped kitchen area, big bathroom with a super shower and a spacious terrace with table and chairs. The hotel restaurant served absolutely delicious food. All the staff we came across, we're helpful and friendly. Great outdoor pool. We could walk to the cliff-top path in 10 minutes and this led down to Praia do Pintadinho, Praia do Mohle and Praia Grande. We used Ubers to travel further afield and charges were very reasonable. There are no supermarkets nearby, so again used an Uber to travel to the Continente about 10 minutes drive away. The storks nesting nearby were worth the trip alone."

"Hotel overall is average. Food is okay, large variety- even a section just for kids. I’m not sure the hotel workers actually thoroughly clean the rooms. They just make the beds didn’t clean under the beds which gathers dust over the week… There isn’t anything walking distance around the hotel. However u can get uber to a nice beach 5 min drive, there is the mall which is 20 mins. One thing which is awful is, people que at 9am for sun beds…. It’s so embarrassing. I have been to so many resorts and not once did we have to do this…. We had an issue with a old couple throwing our child’s towel on the floor and then pestering us, i am sure the man had some sort of anger issue as even the hotel manager said so. But there needs to be more security. Overall I wouldn’t book again at this resort."

"Great hotel. We stayed for one night, took a one-room apartment. We were worried that there wouldn’t be another bed for the child. As a result, the bedroom had a huge double bed, and the living room had 2 fold-out sofas. Therefore, in general, 2 adults and 2 children will be accommodated in comfort. The apartment had everything you needed for cooking, pots, pans, spoons, forks, etc. There is also a refrigerator, stove, microwave. Washing machine."
