"The room is quite spacious and clean. The service here is also very thoughtful, and everyone is exceptionally friendly. The three meals provided daily are also quite delicious. On the first floor, there are two Labradors who can join you for meals – the best dining companions! The hotel also offers a car rental service, which is a nice touch."

"A Chinese-owned hotel provides a strong sense of security in a foreign land, eliminating language barriers and making you feel right at home. Plus, it's incredibly cost-effective; for this price abroad, it includes three delicious buffet meals a day. The rooms are also very clean and tidy, with Chinese-speaking housekeepers, ensuring a worry-free stay. 👍🏻👍🏻"

📍 84 Ozumba Mbadiwe Ave, Victoria Island
★★★★ 9.0 (113 reviews)

"This hotel was absolutely awful. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty and smelt of damp air. There was no toilet seat in one of the rooms. The rim of the toilet basin was left exposed . There was rusty water dripping on the towels . Every time we went to have our food in the dining room there would be other guests smoking at the tables . The food was limited , there would be rice and noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because of all the wonderful reviews this hotel received , we had booked it for 19 days, but we left 2 days later. There is no way this hotel can be classified as a five star hotel!!!!!"

"So let me say that this was my first time in Africa, so I do understand that things are done differently than in the US. When I arrived at the hotel, I found it to be very clean and the employees are welcoming and helpful. I filled out some information and my room was ready in less than 10 minutes. Walking into the room, it was very cold. I loved this. I am from Texas and a/c is important. There was a nice sitting room with a comfy-looking couch. Sitting on the couch, however, it was like sitting on a park bench with fabric on it. But my husband told me that couches are made that way in their country, so I accepted it. The bed was big and comfortable to me. We had a jacuzzi tub and I had an issue with that. I am 5ft 3in with short legs and I had to step up into the tub by holding on to the door. And when getting out, I was always afraid I would slip when getting out. My husband always helped me get into and out of it. If I choose to stay again, I would go for a normal bathtub. We never used the jacuzzi. Most of the time, the water was hot. Sometimes, the water was just barely warm. The first few days, the water was very slow to drain, but the cleaning guy came and did something and the water drained faster after that. Back to the a/c, there was a unit in the sitting room and another in the bedroom. We found that if we turned one of the units off, the whole room would still be cold. It works very well. There were only 3 working tv channels … 24hour music videos, news, and sports. Sometimes we’d see big brother, but I brought my own entertainment. The WiFi was ok. My husband brought his own WiFi. The hotel food was ok. My reservation gave me 1 free breakfast and I let my husband eat it. He seemed to enjoy it. Now I knew that Nigerians loved spicy food, but almost everything is spicy. I wasn’t prepared. The hotel has a menu that you can access by scanning the code on your phone. The pictures of the food on the menu is not the same food you will receive. We ordered the ribs and fries. The picture shows a slab of bbq ribs, but what we received was 2 big ribs, mostly fat, and some veggies and fries. I tried to order some fish sticks but they didn’t have any, so I asked for chicken nuggets. They brought me some chicken covered with spicy sauce all over it (maybe they didn’t understand me when I said chicken nuggets). I couldn’t eat it and my husband ended up taking it to go. Unfortunately, I have stomach issues and can’t handle spicy foods. I did have pizza and some KFC, so I was good. I did order the actual chicken nuggets from the hotel menu and they brought me 2 huge fried chicken patties with fries. This was actually good to me. Not spicy at all. I ate one of them and went back a few hours later and there were gnats all over it even though it was covered. So I threw it out. I ended up ordering this again on my last day there, but my stomach was nervous because of my upcoming flight, s"

"We stayed for only one night and it was one night too many. The Google reviews will mainly focus on the rude or inappropriate behavior of the front desk staff. However, I did not have that experience. Blank was very cordial and assisted in showing rooms before booking. But the A/C behind them doesn't even work, so they are hot and most likely annoyed and uncomfortable by the time guests start to check in mid-afternoon. It's even worse in the evening and that entire hallway is just too hot and stifling. So people should think twice before judging rude demeanor when it's actual lack of comfort. In their shoes, you wouldn't be so jovial either. Rooms: We came for the standard room (N21K) and were also shown the Deluxe. Deluxe (N25-26K) was decent but we just opted for the standard room. That lasted 1 min after our bags were brought into the room. Four luggages made the space already too tight. So we decided to upgrade to the Deluxe. While my husband went to do that, is when I really started to notice differences. The standard room (#8) was very dimly lit and didn't have a fridge, and I remembered the Deluxe had one. The curtains block off the most atrocious view and the bathroom is the size of a public stall, including the shower. Now my husband comes back stating that she will also show us the Executive (N30K). The Executive is what most people would probably expect for a Deluxe. We finalized for the Executive. The saying is that you pay for what you get, but you don't always get what you pay for. Issue#1- The AC which goes no lower than 17C will feel like a nice mid-powered fan, not an actual air con. Issue#2- The shower doesn't drain at all and the water is dirty. The color is like light urine. We found this out at the convenient hour of 8 pm, when ready to shower. Called the front desk, who said plumbing was coming. We assumed it would be on-site staff, but it was an actual outside party, who just sent two boys to do what, we don't even know. They literally asked my husband what he wants them to do. My husband is actually telling them to get a plunger or something. They tinkered around and said that it's the plumbing of how the building was first made and there is nothing they can do now; that maybe....yes, MAYBE, they will see in the morning. Issue#3- The toilet seat is not attached to the commode. It's not even broken. You can see that it was just defective from the very beginning and they just propped it on the commode and has been used that way ever since. Can you imagine? Issue#4- No hot water....or so we thought. We kept complaining that there wasn't any hot water, but was told there is. I begged for her to come and see for herself, if she didn't believe me. Then another girl says, oh....it's probably off. Let me come turn it on. You can go to your room and it will be on in a min. Really??? But why would it be off in the first place??? So when was the last time anyone was in that room? Food: We didn't eat there, but met the se"

"For this price, a hotel with three meals a day included is incredibly good value! I booked it because it's a Chinese-owned hotel, run by a Sichuanese owner, and the chef is also from Sichuan—the Sichuan cuisine was delicious! The room was also clean and hygienic; although not very big, it was very comfortable and clean—hygiene is the most important thing—and the bedding was comfortable too! Very satisfied!"

"Absolutely awful, the hotel has roaches, staff steals personal items out of the room. Staff is observing when you wont be in the room all in all a super bad experience. Got an upgrade and there are mice inside the walls which you’ll hear at night. Staff doesnt help and does nothing to accommodate you. No phones in the room so for any emergency, you’ll be on ur own at night. Receptionist cant help with nothing. 0-10."
