The design of the space is simple yet thoughtful, creating a sense of calm that makes you slow down and truly enjoy the moment.
One of the things we appreciated most was how comfortable the accommodation was. The beds were cozy, the living area was spacious, and everything felt clean and well cared for. It didn’t feel like a hotel room — it felt like a real home. The quiet surroundings made it easy to rest well, and waking up to such a serene environment was incredibly refreshing.
The kitchen was a big highlight for us. Being able to cook our own meals added so much warmth to the stay. Whether it was preparing a simple breakfast in the morning or enjoying a homemade dinner together, the kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. Sharing meals in such a comfortable setting made the experience even more special, especially for families.

HHarimauHutanWe had such a lovely stay at Villa Shion Biei. It’s not a hotel, but a beautiful private house, which made the whole experience feel extra cozy and special. The villa was clean, spacious, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The surroundings were stunning, especially with all the snow. It felt like staying in a peaceful winter wonderland, and we had so much fun playing in the snow right outside the house. Everything was well-prepared, and the stay felt very private and homely.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to enjoy the snow and nature in Biei.

GGuest UserRoom facilities have everything, the overall cleanliness is very satisfactory, suitable for groups of five to six people, there is a supermarket nearby, it is convenient to cook by yourself, and it is very close to the surrounding attractions of Meilu by car.
Warm reminder that there are not many choices for dinner, many shops are closed at seven o'clock, if you are not cooking by yourself, pay attention

MMalingshujinglingFor our last night in Hokkaido, we drove all the way from Kushiro to this small hotel in Biei. The hotel was tiny, and although it had a second floor, there was no elevator. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and even helped us carry our luggage, which made us feel a bit embarrassed. Our room came with a private open-air onsen, so it was quite spacious, but the futon mattress was a little hard. It made me miss my smart electric mattress back home! The food here was also great; both breakfast and dinner were typical Japanese cuisine, perfectly to my liking. Definitely recommended!

1. There's a free shuttle bus from Asahikawa Station to the hotel. It was just me and my friend on the bus, and the driver was super enthusiastic, constantly using a translator to point out the scenery along the way.
2. The buffet food was delicious. Definitely go for both breakfast and dinner; it's excellent value for money, especially since there aren't many other restaurants nearby.
3. It's super close to Shirogane Blue Pond (Biei Shirogane Aoiike), just a two-minute walk. It wasn't crowded when we went in the morning.
4. There's a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, which made communication very easy.
5. There's an arcade and gashapon machines. Even though they're old, they were quite fun to play with.
Cons:
1. The rooms are old, and the soundproofing is poor. I could hear the person snoring next door.
2. There aren't many hot springs baths, and the outdoor bath was very mediocre. Someone must have peed in it before, as there was a specific Chinese sign on the door saying, 'No peeing in the hot spring bath.'

The ground floor has a kitchen, a dining area, and a backyard area. The upper floor is a bedroom with a large window for sleeping and watching the snow. If you go in the winter, you have to push your luggage in a cart yourself. It's fun. The atmosphere around the accommodation is good, but it's more suitable for people with cars because it's quite far from the city.

There are 4 units in this building. One parking slot per unit is provided at the corner near unit 101.
This apartment offers a truly practical and comfortable base for exploring the area. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the basic utensils and cutlery for easy meal prep, and the welcome inclusion of instant slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The microwave was also super handy for quick snacks and reheats.
Comfort is well-managed with one air-conditioner that kept the unit at a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. The washing machine was a huge plus, and we found the designated drying area right above it in the toilet very efficient. The separate dining table was also a nice touch, providing a comfortable space for meals. 2 dryers are outside the building.
With two double beds, this unit is well-suited for small groups or families. We also enjoyed being able to link our Netflix account to the TV, which was great for unwinding in the evenings

Things to Note About the Location
The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful atmosphere. While there aren't many eateries directly nearby, there are two convenience stores within easy reach. Do keep in mind that local supermarkets tend to close around 7 PM, so plan accordingly for groceries.
We found the area to be quite pleasant for getting around, with not many cars on the road. This makes it particularly fun to explore the town by bicycle, and there are several bicycle rental stores available if you're keen to pedal around.

GGuest UserHotel staff are very friendly with clear instructions in english. The room was on the level above some steps without lift so not convenient for people with big luggage. Room was decent in size with small bathroom. Room decoration can be improved. Food provided by the hotel is good and decent variety. Check out was smooth.

KkanganI really felt the hospitality, especially with services like the shuttle bus to Aoi Pond. The food was delicious, with many dishes showing a lot of care in their creation. It was a bit disappointing that the coffee and bread served were the standard factory-made items often found in business hotels. Given the great location, I think it would be even better if they offered Hokkaido-sourced wheat bread or original coffee.
