"It's super big room though this is 12 occupants but still very huge room, I stayed at room 19 , old yet clean and big kitchen and big common area. I love the high chair and best of the best the coffee even without breakfast they provide free coffee with milk,tea clean dishes and utensils. So close to all landmarks and attractions. I love also the staffs they are helpful and very accommodating. There's a storage room as well for your staffs. Highly recommended this hostel and value of money. Higher my expectations. Thank you so much till I will visit Leon."

"Located on the main street in the center of León, less than a minute from the Cathedral. The apartment is tastefully decorated. It's about 40 square meters, but the spaces are very well laid out and perfect for everyday use. Overall, a very good experience. It feels like being at home."

Parador de Villafranca Del Bierzo

"Handy location close to the old town but not in it and only a short drive to Ponferrada to see the fabulous Templar castle. Villafranca del bierza is lovely with the requisite castle and churches on the pilgrim route. The hotel was very comfortable and spacious although very modern in style. Very large comfortable bed. Good shower over the bath. Food in the restaurant was good as was breakfast, shame the dining room felt quite institutional and bright. Friendly helpful staff made you feel welcome, we had a good stay here. Sheltered parking and a gated entrance."

"The hot thing about this place were the location (right close to downtown and the historical part, with walkable distances everywhere) and the price (pretty affordable when compared to other options). The check in was also pretty easy to go through and fast, something that worked for us as we got into the hotel quite late (after 11pm). There was no real person there, though. The downside: 1. I visited during the second week of December and, though really cold outside, they just turned the heat on twice a day. I felt cold and couldn't sleep that well. 2. We were given a facing-the-street room without any sound blocking, so I could hear the cars and people talking, waking me up a few times. Also, there's internal sound blocking as well--you will hear TVs and other sounds from people. So the quality of sleep was really put into question here. 3. The room was just ok--not as you see in the pictures, but with older painting and decoration 4. The mattress was not comfortable, a little used, not providing good sleep quality If you're really short on budget and don't mind other people's sounds and external sounds, this might be a place for you. I will not go back to it."

"Awful stay, huge bed bug infestation even after getting moved rollaway convinced it was bed bug free as you know how sneaky they are and how get everywhere. Got bitten loads and barely got any sleep. No compensation offered at all! Not a great start to my Camino invierno"

Hostal Restaurante Boccalino

"Please don't stay in this hotel, else I will feel sorry for you. Where we stayed is on above of their restaurant, second floor! From the inside of the room, they said its sound proof...omg! We can hear all what the next door whatever their doing! From the movement of their bed and their actions. It's almost like a live show! Oh yes, there is a button on the wall that you can switch on to activate the sound proof. And you now what, its a music! Horrible! It's like an additional noise that you have to deal with plus the next door. It was a hell on our first night. I didn't managed to stay for another night. I have to abandoned our booking that we paid! Please don't stay here, you'll regret it! Yes, its in a convenient location!"

Barceló León Conde Luna

"Arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. There was only one handsome guy at the front desk, and he was very enthusiastic. I chatted with him for a bit and learned that there was a fire about 60 kilometers from the city, which is why the air quality throughout the city didn't look great, and many people were wearing masks. The room had a bathtub, but the furniture and everything else were quite old. It was barely okay for one night. I probably won't come back to this city next time; it's a very ordinary city."

Parador de Leon - San Marcos

"I spent two nights here in Leon as a break during my pilgrimage to Santiago, and it was an excellent choice!! ^^I really want to recommend it to people. The interior structure was a great combination of antique and modern, and it felt like I was staying in a mansion. I want to come again next time!^^"

"The staff were very friendly, and although it is an older building, the rooms are clean. The bed and pillows were satisfactory. They also provided a bottle of water. The breakfast was delicious as well."
