"The room looked decent at first glance, but staying there was truly uncomfortable. The main door was broken; it couldn't be deadbolted or secured with a chain lock. Both the bathroom door and the room door were also broken. The bathroom door couldn't be locked from the inside, and the room door wouldn't even close properly. Imagine this: it's dark at night, with only a dim bedside lamp. You finally manage to lock the room door, get into bed, and when you turn your head, the door has mysteriously opened by itself.
