"We stayed two nights at this hotel and felt very comfortable. We booked a Comfort Room, which had plenty of space, a comfortable bed, and a very quiet air conditioner. Unfortunately, the room had two windows that couldn't be darkened, so it got very bright early in the morning. The doors weren't soundproof, so we could hear everything that was happening in the hallway on the ground floor. All the staff were very friendly. You choose your breakfast a day in advance, and it was delicious. The hotel, and especially the restaurant, is located right on the Loboc River, offering a fantastic view."

"November 2023 We ran into Fox and the Firefly on Youtube (Bohol is Awesome). We fell in love with it, when we watch a video about it being re-built after typhoon Odette. Typhoon Odette destroyed all of Cebu and Bohol. We admired the resilience of the people, most especially the resilience of the owners, workers and friends of Fox and the Firefly. They all chipped in to rebuild the place. There are only 11 cottages - clean, simple, and eco friendly. Reminder - NO air-conditioning, just fans; but temperature is so pleasant you really don't need air-conditioning. The restaurant, Fox and Fables serves the best food. Guests from other hotels nearby come to Food and Fables for their meals. That tells you something! We tried a different dish everyday and each time, they exceeded our expectations. So much better than 5-star hotels and reasonably priced. The place has a variety of activities to offer - paddle boarding (different tours); mountain biking ( a must if you want to see the lay out of Bohol), kayaking, firefly tours at night, or just simply taking a stroll in the tree-lined village. Everyone in this place is friendly, warm, and willing to help guests in any kind of situation. Fox and the Firefly is mostly always full, so book early. But don't give-up, give them a call. That's what we did and we got lucky, we got the last room!"

"A fantastic place to relax and unwind. Located right on the river. The accommodation offers excursions, and you can rent a scooter on-site at a reasonable price. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! Highly recommended!"

"Very beautiful and tranquil location. Room was pretty basic, with one mattress and a wall fan. Could be quite hot during the day but fan does the job pretty well at night. You have to bring your own toiletries ‘cause they don’t provide any but bath towels. Service was really nice, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Even gave us discounts on some of the river activities. You could also rent a motorcycle which is a must to tour Bohol. Wifi only works at the lobby/dining area, which is fine, cause mobile data works pretty well. Overall, very good stay, very beautiful river which is right in front of your accommodation."

"Starting from the booking process, Shoun and Christian were very helpful in finalizing our reservation. Although I didn’t catch the name of the lady at the reception during check-in, she explained the resort policy so clearly that it helped us decide to book an additional room. Since we were a group of 7 adults and 1 infant, we ended up getting 3 rooms instead of 2, which worked out perfectly. ​We really enjoyed the pool, and I was even able to work from the lobby. The Wi-Fi was so strong that I had no issues throughout my entire shift. Overall, the staff, especially Joy, Christian, and Justin were incredibly kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful one-night experience"

It's truly perfect, especially if you have kids with you, as the surroundings are accessible and relaxing.
