Cebu Luxury Hotels

"The hotel is located on a private island. Getting there isn't too difficult, but all the main attractions (sardines, sharks, canyoneering) are quite a distance away. This hotel seems to have been designed for guests who don't want to leave it – a small 'Bounty island' vibe. But it didn't quite hit the mark. The staff here are constantly smiling. As soon as they see you, they drop what they're doing to greet you. During meals, they approach you every minute to ask questions and tell you about the free 'entertainment' planned for the day. Honestly, it's annoying and doesn't match the status the hotel clearly aims for. In a good hotel, staff are incredibly helpful yet discreet. Here, they can't even clean the room without being noticed. However, you can tell they've been trained this way, rather than it being their natural work style. So, if they were trained differently, these young people would significantly improve the service quality. Also, don't expect quick responses or help from anyone. It's better to go directly to reception and sort things out yourself. That's the most effective way, otherwise, you might drown in a Kafkaesque castle with a British surrealist twist. The room we stayed in was magnificent in terms of size and cleanliness. The shower wasn't working well, but they replaced it quickly. When walking around the room, the wardrobe wobbles and makes noise, but these are minor issues. I noticed signs of wood-boring insects in the safe cabinet, but didn't see the insects themselves, so they didn't cause any trouble. Food. The food here is very poor, compared to all the other places I've visited in the Philippines. A hotel aiming for a high rating shouldn't be serving microwaved store-bought pizza at such a price. If the food is cooked properly (grilled chicken breast, for example), it's invariably oversalted or overspiced. Or both at once. I couldn't find a single dish on the menu that was worth its price or genuinely tasty, except perhaps for the scrambled eggs at breakfast. But that's not enough if you plan to stay on the island all day, is it? Snorkeling costs 1000 pesos per hour for the boat and 100-200 pesos for equipment (each item separate: mask, fins, aqua shoes). The hotel staff claim the equipment is new, but that's not true. Aqua shoes are essentially unavailable in adult sizes (from 40 and up, we found only two old and torn pairs). The coral reef is dying after the typhoon, but there are still beautiful spots, and my wife and I don't regret snorkeling here. Especially since it was the only activity available on the island. To sum up, this hotel might suit those who want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world for a resort-style vacation with an average level of service but rather high prices for that level."

"Overall, our stay at Seda Ayala was mixed, and I would rate it 3 out of 5. The room itself was decent—clean and comfortable enough for a short stay, though nothing particularly memorable. Breakfast offered a wide selection of options, which was appreciated, but unfortunately the taste did not quite match the variety. What really affected our experience, however, was the service at the front desk during checkout. There were three counters open and only a short queue, yet the line barely moved and we ended up waiting for around 15 minutes. As we were in a rush to catch our flight, I approached a staff member named Stephan to ask if I could simply hand over the room keys to speed things up. Instead of assisting, he gave me a hostile look and curtly responded, “I have other customer,” in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude. This interaction overshadowed what was otherwise an average stay. With better service, especially at the front desk, the experience could have been much more pleasant."

"Very outstanding stay, can’t complain with all the services I received! The room is absolutely clean and spacious, with calm atmosphere and comfortable beds. The rooftop pool is great with wonderful food and beverages. We’re warm welcomed by all the hotel staff who are very kind and courteous. Special thanks to the housekeeping team member (Cherry, Sharmine, Melisa and Irene) their professionalism and the warm hand written card i received after their cleaning!!!! Also Kyle form the guest service team who helped us upgraded the room:)"

"The hotel is about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport, which is true and very convenient. You're greeted with live music at the entrance. Security is present: security checkpoints, baggage scanning, and guards with dogs. The hotel has its own beach and three entrances to the sea. The water is crystal clear, fish swim right off the shore, and life jackets are free. The hotel is very family-friendly. There are water slides, a kids' club, and a huge playroom. You can even leave your child with a nanny (for an additional fee). There are daily activities for both children and adults, including arcade machines, air hockey, and morning yoga. Breakfast is included, and it's excellent. There are two restaurants, a huge selection of food, and everything is delicious. Even ice cream is included. After breakfast, children are given marbles—a small change, but a nice touch. Lunch and dinner are extra. There are Italian and Cantonese restaurants, as well as various buffets. There are bars on the beach, by the pool, and in the lobby. Live music plays in the evening, creating a great atmosphere. The grounds are vast: golf, mini-golf, tennis, billiards, table tennis, and badminton. Wi-Fi works great throughout the property. The staff is very friendly. The main drawback is the renovations; they need a refresh. However, the service and infrastructure are still excellent."

"I had a recent overnight stay at Fili Hotel Cebu with my wife and overall it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and good facilities. Service was polite and efficient, though not particularly standout. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and good presentation, but the flavors were fairly average and leaned towards the safe side. Overall, a solid and comfortable stay, though it falls a bit short of being truly memorable."

"Radisson Blu Cebu made a strong impression on us from the moment we arrived. The reception team was genuinely welcoming and efficient—one of those check-ins that immediately sets the tone for a smooth, comfortable stay. Breakfast was a daily highlight. There were plenty of delicious options to choose from, so everyone in the family could find something they loved. The omelette station deserves special mention: the chef was not only friendly and fast, but truly outstanding—hands down the best omelette experience I’ve had at any hotel. It sounds like a small detail, but it made mornings feel a little more special. We also tried the lunch and dinner buffets, and they were spectacular. The selection was generous, the presentation was inviting, and everything we tasted felt thoughtfully prepared. It’s the kind of buffet that actually feels like part of the vacation rather than just a convenient meal. What really stood out overall was how well the hotel works for both individuals and families. The atmosphere is relaxed and polished without being stiff, and our family enjoyed every bit of our time there. It felt easy to settle in, unwind, and just enjoy being together. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. The hotel is right next to SM Cebu City Mall—literally just across the road—which was incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and last-minute needs. We also found it easy to get to other major malls like Ayala Center Cebu and Robinsons Galleria, so getting around for errands or leisure was never a hassle. All in all, Radisson Blu Cebu delivered on service, food, comfort, and convenience. I’d highly recommend it—especially for families looking for a reliable, enjoyable stay in Cebu."

"Kandaya resort is definitely very beautiful and clean. It offers many activities from ARV, horseback rides, archery, island hopping and many more. The breakfast is delicious and has a variety of, especially Philippine cuisine. The kayaking was our personal favorite. It’s just a long drive away from Cebu city. However, should we find ourselves that side of the world again, we will choose this resort anytime. Lastly, the room was so stylish and modern..it was just amazing. Bed is super comfortable."

"This stay truly exceeded my expectations. I stayed for three nights and didn't even leave the hotel once – I simply didn't want to! All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent service that made my stay exceptionally comfortable. Housekeeping was super responsive; any request I had was handled very quickly. The restaurant service was even more meticulous. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the staff would proactively and kindly ask if I wanted coffee or other drinks, and often, the coffee was even complimentary – such a heartwarming detail. The mangosteens and mangoes at breakfast were unlimited, making it a true 'fruit paradise' – so satisfying! The breakfast selection on Saturday and Sunday was rich and delicious, while Monday's was slightly less impressive, but overall, it was still fantastic. The entire experience was exceptional; I highly recommend this hotel!"

"This room type is located in building B, right next to the lobby, making it very convenient to access the breakfast restaurant and water park. The room isn't huge, but the view is quite open. The downside is that it can be noisy; Koreans tend to enjoy the pool until after 9 PM. Also, the hotel is next to a shantytown, and you can even hear chickens crowing in the middle of the night. The coast here is good for snorkeling; the waves aren't too strong, and the water isn't deep. While there aren't many colorful fish, it's still quite suitable for children."

"The room was a bit small, but the location was pretty good, making it convenient to get around. However, you'll still need a taxi to reach the more bustling areas. The hygiene was excellent, and the facilities were decent. The service was just okay, and the quality of the front desk staff varied. Overall, it offered good value for money."
