"Great location. Basic rooms with comfortable bed. Limited options for breakfast - we eventually found out about the “pool view” cafe in the Novotel (the pool is dry) which had better breakfast options for us as we had small children who only wanted toast and not the buffet breakfast at the Mercure. (We were told it would be $15 for children over 5 (our grandchild is 6) but then other people said they were told it was free.!? Had some trouble with parking - paying guests should be assigned at least 1 car park per room - however this wasn’t the case and we had to park in the “overflow” area across the road and carry our luggage over. Definitely need a car or vehicle to go anywhere. Great new pool but don’t stand on the fake turf on a hot day as it burns your feet! Don’t forget to ask for “Territorian rates” if you are a local - show your drivers licence and get a discount."

After travelling for 17 hours and looking forward to catching up on news and emails I arrive to find the small print on their welcome leaflet says they ' Offer LIMITED and INTERMITTENT acces for guests to check emails and search the internet'. I'm not a teenager who needs my internet acces limited. For NZ$159 per night, this is an absolute rip-off. I would not have booked here, to stay in what is a basic donga, and no WIFI. So now I'm having to use mobile data to do the basics. And if you like reading by a dull yellow / brown light, well you'll be happy with the lighting. otherwise bring a torch. Unimpressed? Sure am!"

"Everything about Club Tropical Resort in the month of February, where the weather is consistently warm, humid and wet, is a complete joy to a visitor from Melbourne. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the ability to entertain friends and family are outstanding. The pool is the centerpiece of the whole site, where I spent many hours during my 7 day stay. For anyone who thinks it is too far away from the city of Darwin, there are supermarkets and the entire Casuarina shopping centre within a 5 minute drive. If it is wilderness you want, the resort is right next to that too with Buffalo Creek and Lee Point only a walk away. Parking is great, the restaurant was fantastic, and I am struggling to find anything wrong with my stay. But there was one thing - it was not long enough!"

"This park is a disgrace to the Discovery Parks name. Yes there’s the aeroplane noise that is very loud. Nothing they can do about that. The bins were full to overflowing, the ammenities are barely average and only two of the six washing machines in the laundry were working which is a big issue for a park of this size. We stayed four nights at a crazy per night price and there was clearly no effort being made to fix them. The pools are just average and the general upkeep of the park is well below average. Stay at Oasis Tourist Park instead."
