"Oh dear! The front - desk service here is truly abysmal. They didn't bother to inform us in advance about how to get to our pre - booked rooms. Moreover, they even tried to take away our room keys. The room facilities are extremely shabby. We had no quilts, just a dirty blanket. It's so noisy around here and the sound insulation is so poor that we can hardly get a good night's sleep. I booked two types of rooms, one standard queen - sized bed room and the other a twin - bed room. But instead of giving us the twin - bed room, the hotel put us in a six - person apartment. It's just a complete disaster! The worst part is the service of the front - desk manager. Because of this hotel, my impression of Mackay is really not good at all! If you're coming to Mackay, please don't stay here."

What my concern is the parking, we parked our car outside due to someone used our parking space in front of our room for overnight. What we found very dusty are the ceiling fan, the display on the wall near the bed and the window in the toilet. Please give attention to the housekeeping.."

"We are in room 440A and B it said 2 kings on the booking however the bed in A is definitely a queen and was a very hard bed with no topper the bed in B was much nicer to sleep on. I asked for a quiet room and wasn’t too bad however if your noise sensitive there is a bar across the road and you are close to the road and the windows are not double glazed so lots of coins gets through. The place feels like it needs a bit of TLC with some block out curtains for an Oaks brand I expected a lot more. Each room only had sheets and the duvets there are no other blankets so was hard to get termperature right as the kids and I found the duvet too hot and the sheets alone to cold"

"Stayed a week in the 2 bedroom deluxe villa. Nicole was more than accommodating for us. Having 3 children we needed a rollaway bed which Nicole brought down to us without issues along with extra pillows. Very spacious villa with plenty of natural light. Beds were quite comfortable. We stayed in villa 32 right behind the pools which was perfect for the kids. Direct beach access just past the pool and a really nice open bbq area with shade cloth. Very convenient kitchen which meant we could cook meals rather than having to buy meals each night. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. The spa bath was a hit with the three kids. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again on our next trip to Mackay. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay Nicole and family."
