Rede Andrade Amazônia
"A very good and convenient location with unstandingly friendly and helpful staff. The room, however, is just what you need as even toilet paper has to be asked for at the reception. I’d say you get what you pay for."
Blue Tree Premium Manaus
"The accommodation in Manaus is OK. There were a few problems with the room card. It seemed that the magnetism was not enough and the door could not be opened. Later, we replaced it with a new one and it did not have any problems anymore. As for breakfast, it was OK. There were no vegetables for us, and there were none in Sao Paulo. There were fruits, and the waiter made fried eggs and so on. Now when I'm on a business trip, they don't ask them to clean the room, so I have no experience of room service. I also went to the rooftop swimming pool, it’s small but okay."
Mural Living Hotel Manaus
"Mural Living has the best hotel breakfast I had the whole time we were in Brazil. It has a youth hostel feel, but large private rooms for a decent price. We stayed one night before departing for our Amazon adventure and slept well in the beds. In the afternoon we visited the square and theatre, and took a boat to see the two rivers meet - all walking distance from the hostel. There is a nice Italian-style restaurant nearby that also does good Amazonas food and seems popular with the locals."
Manaus Hotéis Millennium
"Good place, friendly staff, very good breakfast."
Angatu Hostel Service
Quality Hotel Manaus
"The location of the hotel is good, there is a big shopping mall nearby."
Ibis Budget Manaus
"Cozy atmosphere, excellent service and wonderful room."
Hotel Adrianópolis All Suites
"The shower water not warm enough and small in my room"

Mindú Park Hotel
Hotel Casa Dos Frades
"The beds are so hard that you can feel the wooden slats. The WiFi goes in and out every few minutes. The shower in my room wasn't working, took them 3 days to fix it. Staff were very unwilling to spend any time communicating with me. The only upside is the location being right on the square but there are another 15 hotels on that block if you want to be in that location"
Comfort Hotel Manaus
"Friendly and good service. I had a good rest."
Hotel Talissa 2
Hotel Villa Amazônia
"This is probably the best hotel in Manaus. The service was warm and welcoming, the breakfast selection was limited but excellent, and the dinner was reasonably priced and delicious. I felt comfortable staying there. The opera house was right outside my window during breakfast. It was also convenient for walking around the area. Very satisfied!"
Grand Amazon Expedition
"We booked this cruise with 7 friends to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday - we were the only Americans onboard and only English speakers - there were several others who spoke English but it was not their first language. We were always slighted and the last boat to go out for excursions except the last day. Only 1 waiter in the dining room spoke and understood English. I tried 4 times to get a cake brought out at dinner for my husband’s birthday and it was quite an ordeal to make it happen because of the language issue. The English speaking guide on the boat excursions was difficult to understand and everything is in Portuguese. When they had the lectures in English they were so hard to understand that we never went back after the first one. Nothing to do at night except for 2 local dancing and singing shows. One for the 3 night portion and another for the 4 night one that was a little better. We did both 3 and 4 night back to back. We were disappointed that the ship does not travel very far at all from Manaus. Food was so so at best. Buffet style with people going in both directions and no organization. Very strange and unique types of fish mostly served for lunch and dinner. The “snacks” on the top deck are actually an early lunch or dinner with limited snacks and pizza. There is a menu where you can order food up on top deck using a QR code on the table or bar but you have to ask and it is limited sandwiches. We were not impressed with the food and our travel friends all agreed with us that we would give the overall experience with food, service, excursion quality etc a “6” out of 10. Not what we were expecting. Excursions were way too short and could have easily been extended an hour to 90 min more each time. Our English speaking guide who was hard to understand seemed to want to hurry and do the minimum and hurry back. Several hours in morning and afternoon of down time onboard with nothing to do - pool area very very small. Rooms were large and more like a hotel room than a cruise cabin and a hotel style bathroom as well. Mini refrigerator in the cabin. Our friends did not have hot water the entire time. When we got to our cabin at check in the air conditioner didn’t work and they immediately moved us to a cabin with working air conditioner. The only wildlife we saw in 7 days was one sloth during the day and one at night, a few monkeys, a few caiman at night and the pink river dolphins. The stop to see the dolphins was about 15 min and very controlled location. Also disappointing that we could not observe them longer. I would not recommend doing both itineraries - if you want to experience it, pick just one with the dolphin viewing or better yet just spend several days in Manaus and to tours each day from your hotel and tours will take you to the same places and some will even let you interact with the dolphins. Our cabin attendant cleaned some of the cabin but never even changed out used drinking glasses the e"
Uiara Amazon Resort
"The location was great we really enjoyed every minute of our stay but the breakfast and the food wasn't really good also they will trying to extra money out of you, the hotel is in the middle of jungle so the hotel is responsible to take you to the hotel with boat and take you back to the city for free of charge this is also in their term and conditions but before we check out they asking for money and they said we have to pay extra if we want to go back than after arguing with them they take us for free but overall is was a good experience staying in the middle of jungle for 3 nights"
Juma Ópera Boutique Hotel & Spa
"One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Elegant environment, superb location, and delicious restaurant. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and provided top-notch service. It was the most delightful stay of my Brazil trip."
