"We stayed at Les Ormes in January 2025 with extended family. The rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms clean and modern, the common areas very pleasant and welcoming, all in a beautiful location facing the port. And the food!: we were served a wonderful dinner for 10 which was outstanding: foie gras appetizer, followed by the main meal of fish (St. Pierre) or veal, and a delicious dessert. Excellent choice of wines. All was beautifully presented, the service was friendly and very efficient, and we had a great time. Also, a very nice breakfast was offered in the morning. Highly recommended."

"My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days at the beginning of August. It was a booking at midnight as we'd been badly let down by a guest house elsewhere - after a 10hr trip from Kent to Cherbourg. Emmanuel looked after us late that night, and together with Eunice made sure we were okay throughout our stay. The hotel is a 2 star and being redecorated currently, some painting needed. We didn't sample the breakfasts, but the local shops and restaurants are very close by. It can be lively/noisy at night but we found it tolerable. Local people live in the surrounding streets, and you can park for free nearby or a short walk away. We requested a kettle to make our own tea in the morning, and Eunice and co were kind enough to supply a box of tea and some milk at no charge. Our room was small ish but entirely adequate. The double bed was firm, but due to my bad back I was able to use a sofa bed which suited me much better - provided by Emmanuel. The cleaning staff were very friendly too - I can't speak highly enough of the staff. The hotel was good for what we needed and I would recommend it to anyone who is not fussy and not looking for a plush room/experience (go for more stars if you are). We had poor weather, but the local restaurants, Cite de la Mer, museums and harbour made for a great experience for us, and we are so grateful to Emmanuel and Eunice for their great service."

"Excellent location near the centre of Cherbourg, close to the port and ferry terminal. Room had tea and coffee making facilities, large comfortable bed, great shower. Breakfast was included in our deal and of good quality. Staff were professional and friendly. Free car parking available. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Will definitely be staying there on subsequent visits."
