"This hotel is in a fantastic location, near the sea front with lovely restaurants and a gorgeous beach. We were disappointed with the hotel when we arrived. It was very dated in the communal areas and clearly needed a refurbishment. We stayed in rooms 112 & 114. Nice rooms with lovely terraces, big enough for 2 sun loungers each. The breakfast was very disappointing, I only went down once on the first morning. Very old wicker chairs that were really uncomfortable. They desperately need replacing, the food choices were unappetising including bright yellow scrambled egg (the hard boiled eggs were a very pale yellow) clearly powered and mass produced. Odd cheese selection, large chunks of parmigiana cheese, coffee from a machine, not much fresh fruit all served in a dark, old fashioned room/corridor with no outdoor space . They give you menus on the table to order freshly cooked food but you have to pay extra. As the buffet was so poor and the room was so awful with came out of the hotel and went to the local juice bar every morning. We wish we hadn’t paid extra for breakfast. They have a cafe downstairs in the hotel with outside tables but again you had to pay. for everything. The hotel allows dogs which we thought was really nice until a very aggressive Doberman dog turned up. We were sat in the reception area waiting for our daughter when it came out of the lift. It immediately started growling at us. It was very large Doberman (really tall and very solid) The young female owner looked inexperienced and had it on a flimsy lead. The dog a few days later nearly attacked our daughter. She’s 20 years old and had nipped up to her room to change her shoes after dinner. We were waiting for her and she came down clearly very shaken & upset. The dog had been barking and growling at her. The corridors are very narrow in the hotel so she had no where to go. She eventually just kept running down the stairs not sure if it was going to attack her. I approached the reception desk and told them our daughter had met this dog on her own that evening in the corridor and it was very aggressive. We have big dogs and she’s never been scared of dogs but was petrified by this one. They didn’t take it very seriously. The next morning I complained to the day time reception staff and insisted it was muzzled in the hotel. I also met the owner on the street and spoke to her. She admitted the dog had a incident with my daughter but was very sure she could handle the dog in any situation (as she said that it nearly attacked an old, local lady that was just passing by with her shopping bag). I insisted to her it’s muzzled. It clearly did not like people or other dogs. She agreed and it was muzzled for the last 2 days but why it was my responsibility to make sure my family, other guests and dogs were safe in the hotel?? I don’t know. Had they of assessed the dog or even tried to say hello to it when they checked in they would of noticed it was very aggressive. They seem to"

"Fantastic surprise, it's not perfect and has some points to improve, but for being a 3 star it deserves top marks. Very clean, fresh, very good food with an excellent choice every day, very convenient location, internal parking, wifi. The owner and staff are friendly, extremely helpful and meet your needs. Especially at the table with 3 children they served us immediately and accommodated specific menu requests for our 3 children. I advise."

"4 days before arriving at this hotel my husband suffered a heart attack and had to undergo surgery the same day. I phoned the hotel to cancel but they didn’t accept my call; I had to write an email! So I did on this stressful day. The hotel replied that they were FORCED to let me pay. How cruel can you be! This is not a chain hotel and nobody is ever forced to take money 4 days before the arrival date. Another hotel we had booked in Tuscany understood the situation and cancelled 2 nights for free. Just to let you know about Hotel Villa Maremonti."

"Lovely place. The pool and two hot tubs are much better than going to the beach, which is across the street. The rooms are comfortable, cool, and very clean. The staff is very friendly, especially the restaurant waiters. The lady at the front desk is a bit serious, but everyone else, like the owner, is very courteous and friendly."

"Bar closed, reception closed, parking haphazard. Not really what we hoped to find. Luckily a person was available to check us in but good thing we didn't hope for a drink or even a bottle of water. The room was nice but the seating was a bed, or some very small chairs. It had a fridge, tiny one, on the floor. Parking is free, but basically you'd better get there before the maybe 12 spaces fill up or you're own your own."

"My husband and I stayed one week at hotel Luna as part of a small group. We liked the hotel very much. The reception is welcoming and staff helpful, even if the English skilles are somewhat deficient. The rooms are small but clean and with a balcony (which we did not use much because of the weather). The room did not have a wather boiler, but we were allowed to borrow one from the reception. There were shampoo, shower gel etc.in the bathroom. Our stay included freakfast and dinner,two really good meals. Especially breakfast was more than expected. The hotel is right next to a road, but given the time of the year (trafic was low) it did not bother us. Ambulance sirens we did not hear at night. The pool was not for use in october, but we went for a swim in the ocean some ten minutes walk away. We found a more remote part of the beach, more protected from the waves when we went straight down to the sea and then right, passing a strange vacated area. Unfortunately we did not have time to explore much of the town itself."

"Great hostel. We stayed in a room for exclusive use, in two. Bathroom for common use. We were provided with bed and bathroom. Note: Common spaces (kitchen, reading room, hairdryer) really beautiful. Note: In our room, 304, you have a strong smoke smell. Probably the tents are impregnated, perhaps the traves. Then you should wash or replace. No breakfasts in 2.50 euros."
