"We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott and extended for two days as it was too difficult to leave the place;) the service is over the top, great amenities with a great pool and even better beach. The in-house catering offers a really good sushi place but we appreciated the little food area next to the hotel as well. All in all the best spot to relax but also do great activities such as surfing and turtle swimming. The only negative thing if I have to name one is the kids club: it is really not a nice place (and smelled). No wonder there are hardly no children there and mine didn’t want to stay there either. But we came for the pool anyways …"

"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"

"An amazing week spent at Kima Surf Camp Weligama, where I improved my surfing skills thanks to all the great guides. The guides gave me individual feedback after each wave, so I immediately knew what I need to change in order to level up. On top of the great time spent surfing, we were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast or dinner, participate in different fun activities, relax by the pool and/or follow much needed yoga classes. The sea view room is very beautiful, but the lake view room is not in the main area of ​​the hotel, so the quality is very poor. It should also be noted that the quality of seawater in this area varies greatly. This bay has a good view, but the seawater is not suitable for swimming."

"This hotel property is advertised as a 4star but is actually as a 2 star - no reception area - only a small desk to check in - very small rooms - paint is peeling off the walls - the wooden staircase but is scratched and dirty - the sit out area is too small - overall a huge disappointment - we went there and decided to forgo the advance and moved to a better hotel in mirissa/weligama. I suggest that all future travelers please check out all the details before booking this hotel."

"The location is perfect. The ocean is right in front, and there's a restaurant attached, so it's a great place to go at night for its atmosphere. However, there are... a few bugs. I was showering and a weasel crawled out of the drain, which was really scary... After seeing the weasel, the ants and mosquitoes in the room were nothing special :)"
