"We stayed here 2 nights when we visited Collbran for a wedding. The owners went way above and beyond the norm to make sure we and other in our group were comfortable. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Attention was definitely paid to details, making sure guests had everything we needed. For instance, the motel's towels were extra thick and soft, not like the skimpy towels you find in some places. There were also extra blankets already provided in the room, so you didn't have to ask for them if needed. I especially liked that there was a soft, fleece throw on every bed, perfect for cuddling up with in the cool mountain air. The beds were very comfortable, and my husband and I both slept well. To me, the Alpine had everything I hope for in a motel: it's clean, quiet, and comfortable--so I highly recommend it!"

"Wanted to love this place. The rooms, grounds, and facilities were BEAUTIFUL, but everything else was just bad. Our Casita room was advertised as having a view of the palisades... it had no view. The staff all seemed to be totally checked out. Lots of weird little service misses. For example, there's a self serve water jug at the pool, and they didn't put any ice in it on 100 degree days. Not a big deal on its own, but when you're paying $800+/night, it's the little things like this that make or break a stay. They were out of all the beers on tap except one. There were several miscommunications about which restaurants were open and when. They canceled pool bingo and donkey happy hour due to weather, when it didn't even end up raining (there are also probably three separate event spaces they could have moved bingo to inside). The auto museum and air tours no longer exist, even though there are signs all around the property for them. The food all around was baddd, and both my husband and I literally got food poisoning on our last night. Both of us threw up for 24 hours straight. Disappointing trip, to say the least."
