📍 Yamami Takamine 3-1, Minamichita

"I'm so glad I came! Even though it's a bit far from the city center, it's definitely worth the trip. The ocean view from the room was beautiful, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and I really loved the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Sometimes the hot springs get crowded, but if you time your timing right, you can go in to your heart's content. If I visit Nagoya again, I would love to stay here again!!"

"Good evening, thank you very much for your hospitality. Thank you for your warm welcome. However, if I may make a request, although the room type (smoking or non-smoking) was left to the hotel's discretion, it would have been appreciated if you could have confirmed whether you wanted a non-smoking room. Thank you so much for everything."

📍 Yamami Yashiki 103, Minamichita

"Hotel has a friendly vibe and there is several options to connect with Japanese culture, tryout things and take photos with traditional Japanese closing. It wasn’t something I was interested in doing but certainly is a generous offer. There is no restaurant open on a Friday evening and it took me more than an hour to go to anything that looks like an open place but I couldn’t find anything and ended up buying stuff from family Mart found it disappointing that the hotel doesn’t offer any options The one is on top of the roof. It’s a little old and not super clean, but it does work well and the view is pretty nice. The whole hotel is in a multi story building from the 70s and the rooms are clean and functional I had a Japanese style room, which is not my preference, but I couldn’t find any other option."

"Really love this place it’s in a really narrow street but right in the middle and next to the Westport the amenities are generous great and I’ve never been in a sauna where you can actually see the ocean. They also have a big cold bath and in addition to do Hansen another hot bath next to the sauna they also play really nice music and From analog amplified hi-fi equipment that is top-notch. It’s a real pleasure, even though I’m not geek in that area. The whole island is of course very small does not much to do and you have to go there if you really want to relax and just enjoy some seafood. There are not many restaurants in the area and I would recommend to just reserve food at the hotel I had to breakfast, which was outstanding. It was Shabu Shabu tako squid, and lots of other Japanese sites."

"I used it on a day trip by train as part of Meitetsu Kanko's "Fugu Zukushi Plan." Tessa is arranged in individual portions, so it's easy to eat, and the dishes are served at a fast pace, from blanching to karaage to hot pot. The fried chicken was especially delicious. If you are a woman, the standard course is enough to satisfy you. It seems that there are private rooms, but most of the lunch customers gathered at tables in the large hall. I also used the large public bath on the 6th floor, but the indoor bath and outdoor bath were small enough to fit 6 people, and there was only enough washing space for 5 people, so the customers had to compromise with each other. The water in the outdoor bath is quite lukewarm, and the indoor bath is a bit hot at about 41 degrees, but you get used to it. Even though it's open-air, you can't really see the outside scenery. The building and the bathrooms were both clean and beautiful."

"I returned, looking forward to the fugu dinner. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, so I was satisfied. However, the other guests were still making noise even after midnight, with children's frolicking and adults' loud laughter echoing through the hallway, even though they weren't in the next room. It finally quieted down around 2:30 PM, but the irrational family was still a real nuisance. As a result, I had a terrible headache the next morning due to lack of sleep, and it was the first time I'd ever experienced such a painful experience on a trip. Being a guesthouse, the walls are thin, so I was prepared for some noise. I've heard babies crying in the night before, but at the time, I didn't think much of it. Unlike hotels and inns, even the slightest noise can have an impact on a guesthouse, so I think they should set a lights-out time and make an announcement. At breakfast, a woman, who seemed to be a family member, started talking loudly from her cell phone, so I think they could have asked her to leave the room, or at least made some consideration so I could have enjoyed my meal. I'm disappointed that I had to check out in the morning with such a bad feeling. It's a shame as I've used this place many times and it holds many fond memories for me, but I don't think I'll be using it again."

"I have stayed here twice, including this time. I never ask for a second helping when I'm traveling or when I'm at home. However, I asked for a second helping both times I stayed here. The quality of the food is high. In a word, it's delicious. The waiters were also very gentle and provided a comfortable space."

"The hotel staff is kind, the service is thoughtful and intimate, the environment is comfortable and quiet, and the location is very good facing the beach. The hotel has arranged a free self-service small bar, in addition to a variety of wine and juice, there are ice cream and a small number of wine snacks. Dinner and breakfast food are also good, and the overall stay experience is very satisfactory."

Shinojima Takamineso Hotels in Minamichita

Shinojima Takamineso

"For New Year's, I booked Takamineso, located on the highest point of Shinojima, a remote island in Aichi, with three friends. This time, a friend from Shinojima provided a car, so we were able to explore Shinojima, including the beautiful sandy beaches and the monument park, before checking in, which was a lot of fun. The inn's food was a gorgeous special New Year's kaiseki meal, featuring everything from pufferfish to spiny lobster, abalone, and Chita beef, all of which were incredibly luxurious and delicious!!! The bath had a great view, and the hot spring water from Minamichita warmed me to the core. Breakfast was also sumptuous, with spiny lobster soup and whitebait so delicious that I ate three bowls of rice and was completely stuffed. Thank you for the meal. <Special kaiseki dinner> ◆ Appetizers including boiled abalone ◆ Local fish sashimi and raw oysters ◆ Spiny lobster sashimi ◆ Tessa ◆ Tetchiri and oyster hotpot (finish with rice porridge) ◆ Chita beef fillet steak teppanyaki ◆ Golden grilled shrimp ◆ Octopus rice ◆ Vinegared dish ◆ Pickles ◆ Dessert <Special kaiseki breakfast> ◆ Steamed abalone ◆ Dried fish, dried whitebait, raw* ◆ Seasoned seaweed and rice ◆ Spiny lobster soup"

"The room is new and big, and should have been newly decorated. As for food, you have to enjoy it in the lobby, both breakfast and dinner are good. The staff are also attentive and polite. Although their English communication is not very good, they will try their best to help."

"At first glance, it looks like an apartment building. (In fact, floors 5 and above are apartments, and it seemed like residents lived there.) The front desk is on the second floor, and there are plenty of chairs on both the first and second floors, so it was spacious. I was staying alone, so I was able to use the room comfortably. Also, the breakfast had a wide variety of items, and I was very satisfied! The only thing that worried me was the entrance to the large public bath. It was quite open, and I was worried that people would be able to see inside."

"A classic Japanese-style hot spring inn, quaint and clean. Good for experiencing traditional Japanese ryokan hospitality. 1. Service: Excellent. Staff always available for assistance. I appreciated the staff recognize guests before introduction. 2. Rooms: Spacious with great views, overlooking Ise Bay. Tatami mats and Japanese bedding provide a fantastic experience. Amenities are plentiful. 3. Onsen: The outdoor hot springs offer stunning views of Ise Bay. Perfect for watching the sunset while soaking. The women's baths are two pools: a wooden tub and a stone-lined one. Although the stone pool had some bird droppings on the rocks, unsure when they would be cleaned. 4. Dining: First experience with kaiseki cuisine, unsure if it's authenticity. It was delicious, particularly enjoyed the grilled wagyu. Arrangements were made in advance for those who don't eat sashimi whith additional costs, which was convenient for guests with dietary restrictions. Breakfast was also substantial, unexpectedly enjoyed the grilled blowfish fillets. 5. Experience: Women can choose from a variety of beautiful yukatas to wear for bathing and dining. Although I found it a bit challenging despite instructional videos. You also can try on the formal kimono provided in the lobby, which is a rare free experience. Grateful for the hotel's offer of a complimentary stay for ********* guests who recommend them on social media, which includes one night's accommodation with two meals. However, if evaluating based on the regular price for one night's stay with meals, it might seem overpriced.
