"The rooms and bathrooms in this motel are spacious, modern and well designed with a fully equipped kitchenette. There’s a laundry on site so it’s handy for longer stays. It's in a great location right on the Warrego Highway and just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a bit of noise from the Highway, but it didn’t really bother us. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the far side of the complex. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful – and gave us some useful dinner suggestions!"

"Two night stay here on a recent trip to Roma travelling with our Border Collie. Motel is pet friendly in the front rooms so there is a little road noise although the road noise was not as troubling as I thought it might be. Motel doesn't discriminate between dog breeds and we really appreciate being able to stay with our Border Collie. The rooms are very clean. The pet friendly rooms are older style and the bathroom is really quite small but clean. It was very cold at night during our stay but the room had heating and we were very cosy. There is a really good sized TV. Foxtel but no netflix but really good WiFi. Free DVDs as well. Bed was comfy. Really good arrangement with local hotels and restaurants were they deliver to your door and motel provides plates and cutlery free of charge. Manager and staff were pleasant to deal with. We had a good stay here and we would stay again."

"Went to pay my account for overnight stay and on way to reception the owner’s 4 sausage dogs ran at me and at least one bit me on the leg. Owner gave me cream and tissues for the wounds and then charged me $179 ! No offer of a discount which I thought would be reasonable just said “sorry she has little puppies” Not a good experience and needless to say I won’t be going back to the Overlander Motel in Roma. "
