"Just out of town this is a well managed caravan park with lots of large open caravan sites. On town water and easy access to water, power and sulage this was a great place to base ourselves for a few days in Isa. Lovely green sites and well maintained amenities it was a great place to be."

"Mount Isa is not a pretty town but the motel was very spacious and set on a main road overlooking the city. Due to a puncture we had to extend a one night stay to a four day stay. The owners were very accommodating and whilst not ideal we made the most of it. Mainly looking for a replacement tyre which out of three outlets not one was to be found and so had to limp to the next town where a new tyre awaited us. So thank you Townview. Like all the places to stay in central Australia parking and getting around was easy."

"Excellent place to stay. Just opposite the mall with a supermarket. Cafes and fast food chains close by. A couple of minutes walk from the Greyhound bus stop if you're travelling that way like me. Recommended."

Ibis Styles Mt Isa Verona ★★★

"We arrived into Ibis Styles Hotel early evening, we received a good welcome at check-in. We were soon given a key card for the standard room that we booked. We also asked for a taxi to be booked for the following morning which was kindly arranged for us. The room was spacious but worn around the edges but had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The TV had a good range of channels, tea and coffee facilities were provided. The aircon worked well and there was no noise from outside. The bathroom was good with a small bathtub and powerful shower, wall mounted soap dispensers were provided. We left early the following morning so we didn't have the chance to have breakfast unfortunately. It was a good stay at the hotel, the price of the room was quite high however the room was spacious for the money paid. The staff were friendly and approachable, we would stay there if we visited Mount Isa again."

"This is a great little Caravan Park. Shady sites with slabs. Large central amenities block & laundry. Camp kitchen &"magnesium" s pool (not heated !!). Was quiet at night and close to everything in town . Perfect for our visit to Mt Isa ! No hesitation in recommending !"

"We went to dinner at the abacus last night and hands down best meal in the isa. It’s our go to place to eat out and it never disappoints. I ordered the 300g Sirloin and it was juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection! At this place you ask for the steak how you like it and everytime you get what you ask for (unlike other establishments where you have to ask for it under how you like it so by the time you get it it’s kind of close to how you want it cooked) the sides I ordered were the garlic buttered beans and creamy mash with dianne sauce and it was all a 10/10. The husband ordered the bbq pork ribs for his main and he also enjoyed them they fell off the bone and had their nice glaze on them the potatoes could have been a little crisper but that won’t dampen our experience at all bloody fantastic meal and atmosphere. Thank you to the amazing staff for having us and we will definitely be back. 💯"

Nightcap at Barkly Hotel ★★★

"Reception service was great and welcoming. Only problems I had with the room was the sanitary bin in the bathroom was half full from previous guests. The shower floor hadn’t been cleaned as it had sandy/grainy remains on the floor as well as a dead bug. The door handle into the room could easily be wiggled and did make me feel unsafe thinking someone may be able to get in easier."

Spinifex Motel and Serviced Apartments ★★★★

"This motel must have a new Manager or a new owner as our experience was not up to the standard we had a couple of years ago. I requested two rooms on the ground floor; that did not happen, instead we were assigned two rooms on the first floor closest to the traffic on a very noisy road. One of the units had a broken toilet lid and the rubbish bins in both units needed to be replaced. We asked the Manager for a new tea towel as the one in the unit was so thin: the one he supplied was very poor quality with holes in; should have been relegated to the rag bag. All in all a bad experience, and would not stay again."
