"The hotel lobby has an antique charm, and once you step inside, it's like entering a different world. The room wasn't huge, but the facilities were decent. The outdoor area was particularly unique, with beautifully arranged rockeries and cascades. Plus, its proximity to the Chengde Mountain Resort makes for an excellent location. Suggestions: For standard rooms with two guests, two combs would be appreciated. The complimentary millet was well-packaged, but it would be great if every guest received a portion. A special thank you to the lady who checked the rooms; she was very meticulous and responsible, even mailing back items I'd left behind at the hotel."

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's located near Shuangta Mountain, about a 20-minute drive from the Summer Palace. The hotel boasts a grand and classy design. The layout features courtyards, lawns, and corridors connecting the various living areas. Bright and clean, the corridors display exquisite red furniture, antique clocks, and Chinese and Western art, making it feel like an exhibition center. The hotel service is excellent; you can always find staff to assist you with any requests. The rooms feature mahogany beds and various tables and chairs, reflecting the hotel's high-end status. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including both Chinese and Western dishes."

"The hotel is tired and dirty. There's no breakfast or restaurant at all. There was no refrigerator in the room. The selection of toiletries was limited. The beds were comfortable. The blankets, pillows, and linens were new. There was a large TV, air conditioning, a kettle, and a hairdryer. The internet was decent. Guests can enjoy a free bath complex nearby, including a sauna, two swimming pools, a relaxation room, and a washroom. Women are less fortunate; their section only has showers and a sauna. You can get a decent massage on the second floor for a fee. The hotel is conveniently located—almost in the historic center of the city, a 5-minute walk from the main attraction, the summer mountain residence of the Chinese emperors. There's private parking. There's a large shopping center with a food court nearby, including a Burger King and a Starbucks (good places to grab breakfast). There's a large grocery supermarket on the ground floor. If you're not too picky about amenities and only stay overnight, this is a good choice due to its low price."

I had only booked it for the first night of my trip, but on the day I checked in, I immediately extended my stay for two more nights before my return journey, right at the front desk with the lovely young lady on duty. The front desk staff are genuinely warm and kind. We traveled from Chengde to Ulan Butong, and then came back to stay here for another two days. Highly, highly recommended. The standard room has two 1.5-meter beds. Facilities: Pretty good! Cleanliness: Clean and tidy Ambiance: Very comfortable Service: Everyone I encountered was excellent"
