Guest UserThe location is a bit of a walk from the Yufuin station, so accessibility might be a challenge; however, it is absolutely worth the walk if you're able to. The amenities, the care put into their sevice, the thoughtfulness and willingness to accommodate where they possibly can, not to mention the beautifully ornate and well-maintained rooms. Each room having it's own theme for a bath, making experiencing different rooms quite an experience as well if it's your desire or lack thereof a choice. The process is super smooth, and having this place serve as your base as you explore Oita and Yufu is a pleasant experience.
If you're looking for a good traditional ryokan where you experience shoji room doors, tatami floors with mattresses and sleeping on the floor, along with lovely sights and private baths, Yurari Rokumyo is worth your visit.

This is a modern accommodation with state-of-the-art facilities in Yufuin. We stayed in a sauna room, and it was fantastic to have both an indoor hot spring bath and an outdoor sauna. The room was very spacious and clean, and the view of the bamboo forest from the living room was truly relaxing. There are two rooms on the second floor with three beds each; since it was just my family of four, we had plenty of space, but it would be ample enough for two families to stay as well. It is a place I would definitely want to stay at again if I visit.

Guest UserWe checked in on 15 Jan, 2026 and planned to stay at the hotel for a nite. When we arrived the railway station , we walked around for a while and got a taxi outside the railway station to the hotel without paying the fare. Probably the hotel had arranged with the taxi drivers in that area that they will pay the fare directly. The check-in procedure is easy and comfy. 2 staff lead us to our room 小樓球。It’s a very nice room with 2 private onsen. The spring water is nice and made our skin very smooth. The hotel had arranged enough drinks for us, 3 alcoholic and 3 nonalcoholic. We had our dinner at ard 7pm. The presentation of the good is very good & eye catching. However, the quality of the sashimi was not very fresh. Taste of the tuna was a bit fishy and it’s wet and found bloody water after picked it up from the dish😓. I don’t eat beef and the hotel changed the 5 pcs of wagu to 3pcs of eel which didn’t taste very well. Not sure whether they grill it or not. Also they changed the beef that served with rice to miso and I didn’t think it’s fair enough. The breakfast on the next morning was up to standard. Bread was fresh and hot. Egg and sausage were quite good. Overall, service is good but the standard of dinner made me disappointed as I had informed the hotel at least one week before check-in and I think they have ample of time to adjust the menu for me.
I’ve been to some other hotspring hotels with same request of not eating beef. They had changed my menu to chicken, pork or seafood like fish or shrimp and provide the equivalent size of meat for replacement.

The hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming. They have separate communal onsens for men and women, plus three private onsens that require advance booking (one 50-minute slot per room per day). This isn't super convenient, especially since you probably won't spend more than half an hour actually *in* the spring. However, you're allowed to wear a swimsuit in the private onsens if you prefer. The hotel building is quite a distance from the station, but it's close enough to the lake, which is definitely worth seeing if you're visiting Yufuin. On the ground floor, there are vending machines where you can grab snacks, just in case you get hungry late at night (the hotel closes after 12:30 AM).

Guest UserSuper pleased with our stay at Enokiya!! 100% thumbs up!! I will definitely return if I visit Yufuin again!
1) we reached early, and we managed to check in early.
2) location is superb, very near the yufuin streets.
3) hosts are very friendly and can speak English!
4) the rooms are very clean and extremely spacious!
5) we extended one room and forgot to return the non-extension room key. Host did not penalize but only just dropped us a gentle reminder.
6) breakfast is a very delicious and wholesome Japanese spread.
7) onsen area is clean and spacious.
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay, Enokiya Ryokan. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much!

The hotel boasts a prime location near Lake Kinrin, situated at the end of the Yunotsubo street, perfect for a quick stroll and rest.
The service is attentive and makes guests feel right at home. A private shuttle to Yufuin Station is provided on check-out day, allowing guests to enjoy sightseeing on their last day.
The hotel features three family-style baths, two of which are open-air baths, each offering 40 minutes of private time. We stayed in the Takasago Japanese-style Suite, which boasts both indoor and outdoor private onsen, ensuring excellent privacy.
Breakfast and dinner are served in private dining rooms, offering a diverse menu with different signature dishes each meal, such as Wagyu beef and houga-don.
Overall, the hotel exudes a nostalgic Japanese charm and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended! 👍

Anonymous UserThe room is fully equipped with amenities, so you can literally just bring yourself. The hot spring bathhouse has two indoor pools and one outdoor pool. Towels and a water dispenser are provided on-site, and there are lockers with electronic locks for your belongings. The massage service is available in-room, and the masseuses are very professional, meticulously asking about areas to focus on or avoid beforehand.

Guest UserStaying at a hot spring ryokan in Yufuin with dinner and breakfast included is so convenient and hassle-free.
Jukaso Hotel in Yufuin was a great choice. The traditional Japanese garden setting creates a wonderful ambiance. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 5-minute walk directly from Yufuin Station, so even with luggage, it's no trouble at all.
I booked a tatami Japanese-style room. It was spacious and clean with excellent natural light. Opening the window revealed mountain views and the greenery of the garden, making it very peaceful and restorative. The amenities were complete, and the double sinks in the bathroom were a thoughtful touch.
The hot springs include both indoor and open-air baths. The water quality was pleasant and clean, and it was quiet with few people in the evening. Soaking in the onsen completely relaxed me.

mummywandersThe hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...

It felt like I was in the mountains, with nothing around. However, the air was so fresh that it was perfect for a walk. The friendly Korean hosts made my stay comfortable, and dinner and breakfast were delicious and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the large bath was small, so it felt crowded with four or five people, and if you go early in the morning, the water was cold. Although it was only a one-night stay, I had a good rest and returned.
