"We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The apartment was really stunning, the attention to detail was evident - from the quality build to luxury appliances to the stylish furnishings. It was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was great - was an easy walk into town and some cafes are even closer. This was a great choice for us as we spent a holiday weekend exploring Mudgee."

"We had our 28th Wedding anniversary here. The check in process seamless, with the owners living onsite but quiet like elves. Breakfast, the wood fire and everything else would appear and be cleaned away without ever seeing them. There are only 3 rooms! Sunken inside fireplace, pools and walking gardens. Super clean and large rooms and on suite. The bath is perfect, no photos sorry. Birches would be perfect for any getaway, but also a small family or group of friends to book for the weekend. We added a wine tour making a perfect weekend(separate review). Birches is close but not "in" town, you'll still need to drive unless you like a good stroll before lunch into Mudgee itself."

"What a lovely spot. Gorgeous accommodation. Kangaroos viewed from our bedroom window. Comfortable. Fireplace, beautiful furnishings and a very comfy bed. Ensuite for each of the four bedrooms; a perfect getaway for friends or families. Very generous breakfast provisions. Delightful and friendly host. We would love to return. For longer next time. Well located, close to Mudgee and numerous wineries."

"We had a verandah room and loved it - beds were super comfy and warm and very clean. Shared the room with 2 friends and totally enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the street. Gulgong is a quaint, friendly village - had a great meal at the The Bailt pizza wine tapas bar. Highly recommend going to spend a night there and wander around and enjoy the history"
