Ca Dei Currà

My wife and I, and another couple, stayed at Ca Dei Curra May 9-12, 2024. First, to qualify my review, I have traveled to Italy many times. My wife and I are American, travel light, and frequently stay 2-3 nights at each Agriturismo or hotel as we travel. I speak almost no Italian; my wife speaks some Italian. I am a six footer; my wife doesn’t touch five feet. We are both 69. Perfection is not required, but clean accommodations (including floors, as I workout on the floor each morning), good beds, a nice breakfast, and pleasant and competent innkeepers are a requirement. Paolo and his wife were at all times friendly, courteous, professional, helpful (for local sights and restaurants), and Paolo’s wife is a wicked good breakfast tart maker. These two are gems, though you will deal almost exclusively with Paolo. The room was nicely made every day, the floors were clean enough to work out on without laying down a towel, and the bed was firm enough for us to sleep well. The rooms and bathroom are very large compared with other places we’ve stayed in Italy, and pretty good sized by American standards, as well. If there are any deductions, we stayed in the room apparently furthest down the hot water line, and we sometimes had difficulty competing for hot water in the morning. Also, it may be charitable, by American standards, to call his pool a pool. Though it would still be delightful on a hot day. Neither were so bad as to be material deductions. For value, this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in through the years. Neither my wife nor I would hesitate to book rooms there again, nor send our best friends there. It is extremely well situated for wine tasting in that region, and assuming the other guests aren’t Americans or Germans, you might even have a peaceful and quietly night, waking up to songbirds in the vineyard in the morning. ;-))

Paolo and his wife are fabulous hosts. I loved our conversations about local restaurants and nearby attractions. Breakfast was spot on with a great selection of local cheeses and salumi. Grazie Mille!

Spacious rooms with beautiful view over the vineyards towards Barbaresco village. Friendly service. Great coffee and homemade cakes for breakfast. out door seating arrangements, loggia in the shade and small pool. Situated in the middle of the Barbaresco vineyards. 2K walk to beautiful village Neive with super restaurants.

From the moment we arrived till the minute we left, Paolo and Daniela showed us what perfect hospitality means. We checked a bike route and walking route with them and their confirmation proved to be two perfect days. Bonus, one can rent an ebike directly from them. In addition we got great recommendations for dinner locations! The breakfast is out of this world with nothing but top quality products, home made cakes and delicious cheeses. The B&B is located with beautiful views and nothing beats sitting on the terrace for lunch or aperitivo besides maybe the lovely pool!

Paolo the owner is a fantastic guest

This is a really special place, we loved every minute of our time here. Paolo and Danielle have created an amazing b&b and are such warm & lovely people who clearly love what they do. The views are spectacular and we loved coming home in the evening to a glass of wine on the balcony. Our favourite spot of the whole trip! The breakfast is delicious, Danielle's home baked cakes are out of this world and the cappuccino so tasty! Couldn't ask for a better way to start the day! The rooms were perfect, lovely cosy bed, air conditioning if needed and a fabulous shower. The dipping pool outside is ideal to cool down while you sunbathe. A real idyllic spot to lounge and chill out. I really hope to return here again soon. It is a real treasure of a place.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay, Paolo and Daniella are happy and generous souls, welcoming, lovely people which after 4 nights you feel like you are leaving friends! Where do we begin? The breathtaking views from our terrace, the Michelin star worthy(we are serious!) freshly baked cakes and cookies by Daniella, our accommodation which was impeccably clean and well-equipped and lastly, for those of us who must work remotely, there is excellent fully functioning WIFI. Ca dei Curra is perfectly located-a short drive to all Piedmont has to offer. We highly recommend! A very happy couple from NYC!
