The food was absolutely delicious, especially the cakes which were exceptional every day. The rooms and all the facilities were maintained to a very high standard, and the location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops, bars and the beach. The staff truly made this holiday unforgettable, and we would definitely love to come back again."

"The hotel has a good location by the beach. It is a little isolated from other things so the shuttle service was useful. The reception staff however had no idea of shuttle pricing, and several other basic things we quizzed them on they had no idea. Poor! Food in the hotel was ok, predictable, but ok. We ate out a few nights as the food became dull after a while. The animasion activities team were amateurish. I’ve read some reviews praising them but honestly they were suited to a kids club and nothing more. The hotel was generally clean and the room was fine except the air con pumped out warm air instead of cold! Value for money the hotel is fine but I doubt so would go back."

"Here last October and back again - returning to a hotel is a first for us in over 40 years. Hotel is elegantly built, sea view rooms large although as others point out getting in and out of bath/shower can be a challenge. Food is buffet with an amazing selection, particularly breakfast. It is about 2km from the centre, so quiet. As in our 80s we often take the bus opposite the sister hotel one way. It's £1 to centre or £1.5 to Nessebar. Plenty of sunbeds on beach and around pool. We do miss how well towels and beds were managed last time (if a bit strict 😊). The beach is wide and as we seem to be in a lagoon usually very calm."

"Me and my partner stayed here for 10 days and were expecting a lot with it being a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately I’d say it’s a low 4 star, the food was bang average most of the meat and fish dishes were very dry. All the drinks were pretty strong which was good in our case but can be taken either way. Really nice grounds of the hotel however you cannot use half of it!! The other pool on the Helena sands part of the hotel you are not aloud to use - on our first day we were promptly told to leave the pool and told we can only use the other pool. Extremely odd considering the whole resort is connected. However we did have a section on the beach as an extension of the hotel that we weren’t kicked off! Room and general decor of the place felt extremely dated and the bed was also as hard as a rock. They did surprise my boyfriend for his birthday with a bottle of Prosecco and little dessert in our room ( without me saying anything) which I thought was a really nice touch. I’d say it’s more of a family hotel the Helena parks side of things as they were a lot of activities put on by the animation team which is great if you are interested in that type of thing but if not if can get a little irritating them asking you all the time to get involved when you just want to relax. Understand it’s part of their role so it’s a difficult one to judge. Overall decent hotel, great location right on sunny beach strip definitely not 5 stars but a pleasant stay nonetheless"

Lots of nice animation programs during the day, entertainment programs in the evening and entertainment for children - face painting, mini disco... Everyone found something for themselves. "We arrived at lunchtime, the room wasn’t ready, we were on the fifth floor with a sea view. The carpet had just been cleaned & the room smelt awful. The fridge smelt like someone had died in it so not a good start! The balcony was tiny & nowhere to hand your wet costumes The rep was very helpful & got drying racks for a lot of the rooms They changed the fridge which was positive. We arrived on a Thursday, had clean sheets on the Monday , we were there for 2 weeks so didn’t get clean sheets till the following Monday ! Towels were changed every day not needed . The cleaner came in every day for about 3 mins , emptied the bins but did little else after 7 days I had to ask for the bathroom floor to be washed & the sink cleaned! The food was ok but definitely not 4 star , would not go back to this hotel Lots of very rude russians lots of smokers , not our cup of tea, which reminds me if you are English take some teabags!"

"On arrival hotel looked clean and reception staff friendly. More information would have been nice on arrival, especially needing tickets for towels, which we found out from a very rude life guide. No need for such rudeness. Room was very good. Very clean and spacious and reasonably maintained, although if you want a better hairdryer, take your own. Sunbeds, very uncomfortable. Pool bar ok. Young lady in evening was brilliant and one of the more friendly members of staff. Restaurant. Staff clearing tables were excellent and always polite and friendly. Food, a lot of choice and well cooked, but cold. What a shame. The cleaner around the pool always seemed to be having rows with the lifeguard. Not professional at all. The lobby bar is an accident waiting to happen, due to having to step up to the bar and back down again, all the while contending with people sitting at the bar, making it more awkward. Get rid of the bar stools. The lobby bar would certainly benefit with more seating away from the sports tv which was on every evening. Lastly pool area was very dangerous. Saw several people slip/fall over down steps. Wouldn't recommend this hotel, due to grumpy staff and cold food, which is a shame, as it is a good location."

"A very modern and clean hotel. Unfortunately we booked through Tui booking a Deluxe twin room with balcony. Yes it was deluxe and we did have a balcony however this faced the front of the hotel looking out on a car park and the street. The noise of the traffic was horrendous. We asked for a room change and was told by the young man on reception that the hotel was full and therefore no available rooms and also that we had NOT PAID FOR A VIEW. So if booking through Tui make sure it states with a sea view. Overall facilities were very good. The pool freezing cold so few people in it however a short walk down a number of steps (need to be fit) did lead to a small cove excellent for swimming in the sea. Food was what is expected of a good quality AI hotel. A lot of focus on meat so If vegetarian choice not as good. Regardless of the issues we had a lovely relaxing holiday and would recommend this hotel and its location."

"We have just returned from HVD Miramar and had a fantastic holiday. From the first day until the last, everything was enjoyable and very well organized. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and cleaned every day to a high standard. The whole property looks cared for and you can see that a lot of effort is put into keeping everything looking nice for the guests. The food was one of the highlights of our stay. There was a great variety every day and the quality was consistently good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner always offered plenty of choices, and everything was fresh and tasty. Even after several days we were still finding new dishes to try. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, polite and always willing to help. Whether at reception, in the restaurants or around the pool, everyone greeted us with a smile. It created a very welcoming atmosphere and made us feel comfortable during our entire stay. A special mention should go to the foreign manager, who could often be seen around the hotel talking with guests and making sure everything was running smoothly. It was nice to see such a hands on approach and genuine interest in guest satisfaction. The beach area was clean and well maintained, and the pools were excellent. There was always enough space to relax and enjoy the beautiful sea views. The location of the hotel is also perfect for a peaceful and enjoyable holiday. What we liked most was the overall atmosphere. Everything felt relaxed, professional and guest oriented. It is the kind of place where you can truly switch off and enjoy your vacation without worrying about anything. Thank you to the whole HVD Miramar team for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definately come back in the future and would happily recommend this hotel to friends and family. A wonderful holiday experience from start to finish. "
