"I’ve been fortunate enough to be well travelled and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one is one of the best. The little details make this place so special. The accommodation was of exceptional quality with a massive bathroom, the room was spacious but so cosy I was asleep by 9.30! The food was delicious, the quality was outstanding and so lovely to see the chef taking real pride in what he does. The service was amazing, the waitresses and management were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. This is the best value for a hotel, we hope to be back v soon!!"

"We stayed for 3 days here late june for a treat. Maggie and her team were the best. It is a well placed B&B with great rooms and a lovely breakfast. It was great to stay there."

"I stayed for 3 nights. It is such a quirky and friendly pub. The staff are wonderful. The room was lovely and came with complimentary local gin and tonic which was much appreciated! Breakfasts were delicious. I had 2 full English and bacon waffle on the third morning. The view from the pub garden is stunning. One afternoon I sat out there with a glass of wine and a book. Also there are lots of nooks and crannies for sofas and quieter areas so it's just a lovely place to hang out with friends/read/play a board game/play pool if the weather is grim. There's a tiny church across the road you should pop in to. For me it was just a lovely mini break. They often get last minute bookings for meals so don't always have enough staff BUT given how hard it is for pubs at the moment I think waiting an extra few minutes for something is FINE. The staff are incredibly hospitable and kind. It's a dog friendly pub. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was excellent pub grub. If you like a quirky, friendly, independent pub then I'd highly recommend."

"As per another review on here, I experienced a domestic incident on one of the nights I stayed (shouting, swearing, banging doors). This was quite scary as I was staying on my own. I found the room quite run down and didn't get the chance to have breakfast as they only served from 8.30am. Positives are that the host was very friendly and the towels and bed were new and clean but I'm afraid I won't be staying again. "

"Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Bathroom was gorgeous. Owners have done a wonderful job bringing the hotel up to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent with lots to chose from. Plentiful parking. Great for visiting Lynton."
