"Refurbished nice rooms (with some stains). Comfortable bed and bathroom. Good ac. Great location. Paid parking in basement. -But! the hotel is lacking some amenities. Breakfast room (and a la carte restaurant) was quite untidy and refill was slow/lacking. In addition there was some noise from hallway and neighbouring rooms. And what I dislike the most was the waterproof rubber sheets they are using. Why do they have to use this under the sheets in eastern europe? It is sticky, clammy and impairs sleep. And in the end.. -I have slept in probably a couple of hundred hotels over the years. This is the first time ever I've had to wait in reception as they had to go upstairs and control the room before I as alowed check out, even they had all my credit card details. Such #bs!"

"Stayed here for a long weekend to visit a friend in Varna. The location was great, the beach and the public outdoor swimming pool were just across the street. We had a room on the first floor. The room was otherwise spacious but the gap between one side of the bed and wall was tiny and you couldn’t move the bed, so no getting out of the bed from that side. The bathroom was tidy, not very big but suffy. However, the water temperature changed from hot to cold while showering. Also the plumbing didn’t work so well. The wifi was very bad so ended up not using it. The same goes for the breakfast. There was some choice at the breakfast buffet but the quality was poor so we only ate there once. The staff was very stone faced, don’t expect a smile especially from the reception staff. Only one lady of the cleaning staff was returning a smile. The best things about this hotel are the location and general cleanliness."

"Probably the most comfortable bed we’ve had so far on this trip, and certainly the best breakfast. The accommodation is beautifully presented and very clean assisted no doubt by their quirky request to change our shoes to the slippers provided. I was fortunate to park the car right outside and armed with the M Park app to pay for parking as they instructed us to do on first booking. I wonder if parking may be an issue in the height of tourist season. They even had a gym, so I was able to get some exercise. There really was nothing I could find fault and would have liked to to have stayed longer. Highly recommended."

"We have been sleeping last night and we will be sleeping next in this central hotel in Varna. The structure has to be renovated recently because it does not correspond absolutely to the last negative reviews published here. Our room looks on the road to the second floor and is quiet and very clean, the bed is comfortable, which ensures good sleep quality. Wi-Fi is well functioning and fast. There is a small TV that we have not accessed. The bathroom is equipped with everything, not windowed but with a powerful aspirator. It is the ideal place for those who want to visit the historical centre of the city. The only sin is that there is no lift."

"I'm bulgarian but speaking in English for the tourists. I went here with my mom and the experience was awesome. The receptionist, I think his name was Rado, was very nice and welcoming not only to us, but also to everyone else. He showed us where our room was and even gave me free candy. At one point my mom got a headache due to having low blood pressure and Rado gave her pills to make her head stop hurting. When we went inside our room I was amazed of how it looked. The bathroom was literally better than the one we have at home. The only downside was that it smelt like smoke but that was due to the window being open. I would recommend this hotel."

"I stayed at Hostel Musala for 5 nights during a longer stay in Bulgaria. My stay got off to a rough start. I had booked the exclusive apartment with kitchenette on the 5th floor, but when i arrived i was told the 5th floor was closed due to construction above. I was given a room on the 4th floor with no kitchette, but everything else. I was given a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. The room i did get was very nice. The balcony, which i was looking forward to, was covered in pigeon poo and filthy. The other facilities, common showers, laundry and kitchette were good. The only reason i gave 3 stars instead of lower, was the fact that my stay in general was great other than the room and balcony issue. I wanted to enjoy my stay, so i didnt make it an issue. But just be aware, if you have a booking on the 5th floor, you may be better to find somewhere else. Btw, Victoria is fantastic at the front desk. The area around the hostel is great. Close to train, beach, dining, etc. "

"Tiny rooms . There was renovation and lobby smelled paint. I was bıtten by bedbugs. Rooms were dirty. Tipped the cleaners but still we had problem with clean towels. Stayed there before but this time it was really bad. Very expensive and not worth it. Bed bugs is scandal"

"I normally stay at the same few hotels when travelling to Varna but tried somewhere different this time due to availability. I regret it enourmously. This hotel was terrible. The staff were miserable and rude. The breakfast was not great. The aircon in the room was so loud, it was impossible to sleep with it on. This meant sleeping in the heat. The room itself had tiny windows which made the room feel like a prison cell. It was gloomy and with all the brown colours just an unpleasent place to be. It didn't even have a kettle to make hot drinks - I had to go and ask for one. The room was clean so I have given two stars instead of 1 but I absolutely would not stay here again."
