"Had a birthday lunch here to celebrate. Such a beautiful place with a friendly vibe. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgable about the building's story. The garden is really looking lovely. The food was lovely with a really good choice and the drinks menu was great. I recommend the non-alcoholic G & T which was perfect for the baking hot day. A very elegant place but not pretentious."

"Although an average pub, they mistakenly or deliberately charged me twice. The payment via *********** was pending but I was asked to pay for my stay at breakfast. The other payment then went through as well. I haven't been able to get a reimbursement."

"6 friends visited for lunch in June. This is a fabulous property dating back to the 13th century, and the staff is well informed to point out its curiosities, including a standing stone. Our server was a delight - witty and sardonic. Added to our enjoyment. Food was outstanding and good value. We had a small dining room to ourselves. Lovely. We have stayed here overnight previously and had a similarly excellent experience. Very happy to recommend"

"We stayed here with another couple and 4 dogs between us and it was fabulous. The rooms are so nice, we had an amazing mug view over the garden and river. Touches in the room for the dogs were wonderful. The evening meal was delicious, as was the breakfast hamper. It really felt like we were spoilt. Would definitely recommend and return. "Lovely BnB, and nice to be able to opt out of breakfast. Room was very clean, comfortable queen double bed I think. Homemade shortbread and a litre bottle of water was a very nice touch. Friendly and communicative host. Off street parking thank goodness as the street is very narrow. The New Inn pub down the road served good food, big portions - welcome after a long journey."
