Arriving week day on way south told closed cos. chef on holiday ! 🫣 On return Saturday journey north arrived to be told restaurant not open weekends 😳 Restaurants open in outskirts of Alencon a 10 min drive."

"Great location in a super town. The hotel is small and atmospheric in a historic building. The hotel is very nice but the restaurant is excellent. We’ve been here before and so when we needed a stop over as we travelled to a holiday destination this was an obvious place. Great start to our holiday with a relaxing hotel and great food. "Very beautiful facade but that's it! We're going to start with the mold in the bathroom, the tiles that are coming off, we're afraid that it will slip when we take a bath. The soundproofing is simply catastrophic, we sleep with the neighbors, the simple phone call we can hear the conversation, the doors slamming at 7 a.m. which wakes everyone up. The bedroom entrance door does not close properly and the door closer does not hold but it slams. The price of a simple chocolate and espresso is €10, so even if there is a gourmet restaurant I don't think that a simple chocolate and coffee is as gourmet! Bad experience for a romantic weekend."

Great location, superior room well worth the money, good.size with all the amenities, clean with good size tv and good Wfi. and big comfortable bed Although slightly shabby from the outside, once inside very good decor, clean and good layout without being too formal,nice bar area with helpful and attentive staff.Close to railway station with attractive landscape. Only 5 mins walk to centre of town which is pretty with vast array of flower arrangements. Jules was an exceptional host and very attentive to ensuring you enjoyed your stay.Tip, best to rebook Restaurants as they are very busy during the holiday period"

"Stayed here on our way to SW France. Rooms are fairly basic but it is a charming little place to stop. Manager was welcoming and friendly with excellent English (compared to my patchy French). Dinner was delicious, all locally sourced produce. Breakfast offers lots of choice. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. If you stop on a Tuesday night you get the benefit of the local market on Wednesday morning to buy some lunch before you set off."

"Such kind, most helpful and caring people. My wallet was stolen at Le Mans 24 hours. Left with nothing. Money transfer would not be for 3 days, banks closed etc. Couldn’t buy food or fuel.
