"The stay was good. The location is quite away from main train/bus station and from Masarykovo náměstí. With tram 13, you can come quite close to the hotel. The room was quite good, but building a bit old. Area surrounding the hotel: not that many supermarkets and restaurants in close vicinity, but if you walk a bit you can find some restaurants cheap and with good food. Surrounding area mainly Czech speaking, but friendly with foreigners and communication possible with Google translate. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cleanliness: good."

Retro Hotel Villa Ostrava

" For me the most important thing is how clean the hotel is. I dont mind if it is outdated (and it is), but it has to be clean. This hotel isn't. Brooms are standing near the main entrance. Bathroom- outdated, dirty. The bed had very unpleasant smell. And I mean it. Beddings were torn. I have booked free parking space, but was offered place in the street. The funniest thing- before leaving, in the morning, we came to reception to pay for the stay. Booking was made on *********** platform and was guaranteed with the credit card. Manager assured us, that he will deduct our credit card and no need to pay right now. So we left. Later we had a message from the owner, stating he had a problem deducting our credit card. I asked for the bank details and next morning made a bank transfer for the stay. But, after giving negative review on ***********, manager accused us of 'running away without payment". So think before booking:) "
