easyHotel Oxford ★★★

📍 280 Banbury Rd, Summertown, Oxford

"The hotel was nice for the budget we spent it was only a 10 minute bus journey to from the center of Oxford which was convenient. The lady at the check in desk was very helpful with us. The room was no thrills but did the job we wanted. Would definitely stay here again if we're in the area."

Royal Oxford Hotel
9.4 (113 reviews)

Royal Oxford Hotel ★★★

📍 17 Park End St, Oxford

"Super convenient location, right opposite the train station and a short walk to the airport shuttle. It's a pretty basic guesthouse, but the front desk was really helpful and gave me all the details for car rentals in Oxford."

The George Street Hotel
8.8 (60 reviews)

The George Street Hotel ★★★★★

📍 15-19 George St, Oxford

"The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the room was comfortable and tidy. The location is very convenient, close to Oxford city centre, making it easy to explore the city on foot or by public transport. The hotel has a slightly vintage / traditional style, which gives it some character, though it may feel a bit old-fashioned for guests who prefer a more modern design. One thing to note is that there is no free parking available, and the hotel does not offer on-site parking spaces. If you’re travelling by car, you’ll need to arrange nearby paid parking in advance. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel with a classic feel, but not ideal if you’re driving."

Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel

Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel ★★★★

📍 73 High St, Oxford

"Not really the hotel’s fault, but I stayed during the heatwave and the temperature in the rooms were unbearable, I didn’t sleep at all. They did provide a fan but it wasn’t effective. It’s an older hotel, a bit worn down and parts of it didn’t smell great walking through the hallways."

The George Hotel, Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

The George Hotel, Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire ★★★★

📍 High St, Wallingford

"It is a very historical and distinctive country hotel. I am quite satisfied with it. It has its own parking lot and restaurant, which is also quite convenient. The location is on our itinerary."

Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa

Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa ★★★★

📍 Lower Lounge, Lower Lounge, London Rd, Milton Common, Thame, South Oxfordshire District

"The room was spacious and very quiet. I'm not sure about the public transport as I drove myself. There were complimentary drinks, and the breakfast was decent."

"We have an amazing stay. The room was big with a lot of character . The sink and shower did not drain properly, and the shower cubicle was small. The spa had saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzi. Service was excellent. We had a lovely breakfast and dinner. There are lovely bars and lounges."

Old Parsonage Hotel

"It is recommended to avoid thunderbolts. It is hard to imagine how such a hotel can be rated five stars. Public environment: The hotel is very small, there is almost no front desk, the corridor is a narrow corridor of only one meter wide, and there is no elevator. Room: We booked an ordinary room and a suite. They are very small. The ordinary room is so small that there is no place to put the luggage. Service: The front desk service we encountered was very poor and neglected people. We were two adults and two children. We were told that the law does not allow more than three people in a room. We were asked to leave one adult and book a room in another hotel (because the hotel was full that night), and they did not agree to my check-out, and did not give any other solutions. As a result, my husband had to go to another hotel on the first night, which was really incredible. However, the service of the restaurant department was still good In summary: It is not worth the price. There must be better choices in Oxford"

"Completely unacceptable treatment of guests This was an absolutely unacceptable experience. We arrived at the hotel on 6 August at 8:01 pm with our 11-year-old child and our luggage. The room had been fully paid for almost six months in advance. Only when we were already on our way did we receive a notification — just one hour before our arrival — that the hotel had cancelled our booking. The most shocking part is that our money had still not been refunded. So the hotel cancelled a fully paid reservation at the very last minute, left us without accommodation in the evening, kept our money, and did not even offer a proper apology. We were travelling with a child, exhausted after the journey, with suitcases, and suddenly had to urgently search for another place to stay late in the evening. This caused us considerable stress, inconvenience and additional expense. A hotel should not be allowed to treat guests this way. Cancelling a reservation at the last minute after holding the guest's money for months is completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. If a hotel cannot honour a confirmed and prepaid reservation, it should take responsibility for the consequences and provide an appropriate alternative — not leave a family with a child to deal with the situation themselves. We are now seeking a full refund and compensation for the additional costs and serious inconvenience caused by the hotel's cancellation."

Ethos Hotel Hotels in Oxford

Ethos Hotel

"It's very quiet in the residential area and the surrounding environment is good. A hotel renovated from a small bungalow, but the breakfast is not very filling."

The Talkhouse Hotels in Oxford

The Talkhouse

"The talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best I’ve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure, temperature and drainage so I’m not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, it’s seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so you’ll be able to hear vehicles at busier times."

Crown Hotel ★★★
"The large lawn in front of the hotel is lovely, very pleasant when the sun is out. Breakfast was good too, and the decor has a nice 'old money' feel to it. The location is convenient if you're driving, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a car. Overall, it's a good place."

"Simple room, very basic, but perfect if your there just to hit the haystack TIP: If your driving please book ahead for parking space, as it limited within the carpark. The nearest carpark is 5mins down the road! Also if you drive an EV the charge port I been told doesn't work anymore"

Royal Oxford Hotel ★★★
"This hotel's location is super convenient for guests traveling with luggage and looking to city-walk, being just a 4-minute walk from the train station. It's really easy to drop off your bags and head straight into Oxford. There's no elevator, but the male staff are happy to help with luggage. Although our room faced the street, it was surprisingly quiet. Plus, there's a supermarket right downstairs, making daily life really easy. Our family room had three beds and a spacious bathroom, though there was no fridge or kitchen. Overall, I recommend it."

"The room didn't have air conditioning, and even though there was a fan, it was still too stuffy. Suddenly, in the afternoon, there was no cold water from the tap, only hot water, so I couldn't shower at all. The Wi-Fi was mediocre."

"My partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities. Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5. Thanks George Hotel for a lovely stay!"
