"Myself and 2 young children stayed for one night whilst visiting friends nearby. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception team especially kind to my boys, and giving them activity packs was a nice touch. We visited the pool, which was clean. Whilst not big, it was empty so didn’t have to worry about my boys bothering anyone. Clean changing rooms. We ordered dinner up to the room and must say the children’s menu cost was really reasonable for really well portioned food. Rooms were lovely and clean. Great that the chrome cast actually worked in the room unlike some other hotels. Breakfast had a great spread for all tastes. Only downside is having to pay for parking. On the whole, great hotel and staff and would stay again."

The hotel is located about a 45-minute walk from the main city centre, but the route is straight and not hilly, so it’s manageable. The location itself was fine, with good bus connectivity making it easy to get around. There are several supermarkets nearby, including Tesco and Sainsbury’s superstores, as well as a few cafes and restaurants in the area. The hotel does not have its own restaurant or food service, but there is a vending machine offering coffee and some light snacks. Overall, it’s a good option for a clean, affordable stay in Oxford, especially if you don’t mind being a bit outside the city centre."

"Easy check in and the gentleman could see I had a lot of stuff so even suggested that I go in a downstairs room that was free at the last minute. I did find the Goki app a bit confusing but I got there, checked in at the desk and then was given a code to access the front door and my room door so it was actually really easy! The room was really clean, all the facilities that you could want and perfect for my one night stay. The location was great for where I needed to be in Oxford and it's really easy to navigate the buses to get to the city centre - I'd say the bus took me about 10 mins to get into the centre!"

"Enjoyable stay at this good hotel, which had a clean room and very friendly staff. Good location away from the rush and noise - about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, or a 5 minute bus ride. Hotel parking for £10/day is good value compared to local car parks and meters."

"My partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities. Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5. "Plenty of parking available, but if there's a home game for Oxford United in the evening, parking can be a hassle since the stadium is right next door. Breakfast includes homemade waffles and all the usual options, primarily a full English breakfast, and the coffee is excellent. The room feels cramped with a sofa bed. It's about a 15-minute drive to Oxford University or the shopping center, and Bicester Village is around 30 minutes away."

"Friendly receptionist, spacious room for 2. They even had complimentary border biscuits (2x) which we fell in love with! We managed to find them in supermarket and eventually fly them home to enjoy it with our families"
