"For several years, Pellestova has been a favourite for hiking and nordic skiing. By 2024, the hotels has undergone a very successful refurbishment. All rooms are decorated in "mountain lodge style" (wood, slate etc.), the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms also new with floor heating and amenities from Rituals (soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner). There is a well equipped mini-bar and TV. Breakfast is plentyful; a cooked breakfast is being served upon request, and there is also a traditional nordic buffet with ham, salmon, cheese, croissants, fruit, etc. The hotel offers three restaurants covering all needs: A pizzeria serving lovely artisan pizza, a restaurant serving modern french-norwegian cuisine and the new "Slakteriet", an exclusive restaurant in the culinary landscape of new nordic cuisine. The latter is seating aprx 30 guests each night, serving ca. 12 dishes focusing on game and locally sourced produce. The hotel wine cellar is to die for, offering Échezeaux, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Gevrey-Chambertin, and also less expensive alternatives."

"We chose this hotel specifically for its unbeatable location, right at the bottom of the Hafjell slopes – absolutely perfect 👌. It was well-priced and exactly what we were looking for in a ski trip accommodation. The breakfast was phenomenal: a huge variety of choices, everything fresh and delicious. Easily a 5-star hotel breakfast – definitely worth adding to your booking. Huge credit to the hotel team for this! Unfortunately, it was disappointing to discover that the men’s sauna had been out of order for over a week prior to our arrival, and it remained unfixed throughout our three-day stay. Given that sauna access is a key facility for many ski guests, it would have been helpful to have been informed in advance or to see it repaired promptly. Overall, a great stay thanks to the location and breakfast, but the unavailable sauna was a notable drawback"

The welcoming fire, friendly staff and excellent service were part of the experience and our 3 course meal with paired wines was a delight. If you want a special evening at a wonderful restaurant, then this is the place."

"Way too expensive. We didn't find any such expensive campsites during our entire trip. 670 NOK for one night, campervan, 3 adults... is out of proportion for what we get. Maybe that's why this campsite is so quiet. Also a lot of noise pollution from E6. We'll be leaving soon..."
