"Despite booking for four people through your site and specifying my children's ages, they charged us an extra €150 for the children's room. The pool was listed as free, but I had to pay extra for it. Because of the indifference and poor attitude of the reception staff, I will not consider going back to this hotel. I'm so ripped off because of you that I won't be booking again, and I'm even deleting the app. We even paid for water! I've never seen anyone charge for water anywhere in the world, and I've never seen such a bad hotel."

"The hotel is located on a great place, walking distance of the most interesting points and restaurants. There is an extremely bad smell, coming from the bathroom canal, so bad that I was waking up from the smell couple of times. This is the top 1 reason I will not come back to this particular hotel, despite the location. (Constantly smell like shi*ts) There are double windows and in between them it is full with spider webs - good luck if you are allergic. The mini bar was absolutely empty, no event a bottle of water. In overall, the hotel seems normal at first glance, but within the first hours those things mentioned above starts annoying very much."

"We had a comfortable room with lots of hot water in the shower within walking distance from the station and the center. There were many shared facilities like a kitchen area with coffee/tea (paid), seating area and smoking area. We didn't find the listed washing machine and there was no fridge in the room. There was no reception, and communication re early check in and/or bag drop was difficult. The toilet area was always wet because of there was no separate shower area or shower curtain."

"It doesn't deserve 5 stars because it doesn't have the amenities it should. It is a nice historic hotel, with antique furniture, but uncomfortable to spend a stay there. Small beds, wooden floors, poor lighting, very narrow bathroom, with very high bathtub, old faucets. They do not have mineral water in the room, nor a coffee maker. Poor breakfast. With little variety of fruits, sweet and salty. Only coffee machine and no special milks. Access only with stairs, where you had to carry your suitcases."

"I stayed in the hotel 2 times. Once during July and once during August when I was in town for business. The room is big and clean. You have a lovely view to the park. At night it's nice to walk around the part. Hotel breakfast is great. The Staff is friendly and helpful. Recommend to anyone that is looking for a good 5 star hotel in Plovdiv."

"The hotel was beautiful with marble throughout and lots of character. I’ve been travelling the world for 6 months and this is the nicest room I have had in any country. It is in the centre of the old town within easy walk of places of interest and yet it is very quiet. The owners were kind and helpful and the food was very good. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone."

"My first time visiting Plovdiv, when I arrived at the hotel I checked in and went up to my room, because it was late and I need to rest because I'm doing a big tournament in several cities in Bulgaria…. When I entered my room I was shocked by the horrible, degraded and very dirty situation for a 4 star hotel. In the morning I went to have breakfast and I came across a completely dirty restaurant and the state of the carpet was very disgusting, horrible.. I don't need to say much because you can see with your own eyes some of the photos I put here the facts of the reality that this hotel is in. Hotel stuck in time, decor from the last century, very dilapidated, a serious lack of daily cleaning for a 4-star hotel, I don't recommend it to anyone, worse than a 2 or 3-star hotel. In conclusion, I checked out of this hotel as quickly as possible. I never thought I'd find 4-star hotels in these horrible states."
