"We had a comfortable room with lots of hot water in the shower within walking distance from the station and the center. There were many shared facilities like a kitchen area with coffee/tea (paid), seating area and smoking area. We didn't find the listed washing machine and there was no fridge in the room. There was no reception, and communication re early check in and/or bag drop was difficult. The toilet area was always wet because of there was no separate shower area or shower curtain."

"The building is great and beautifully located right in the middle of the Old Town, but this is not a five stars hotel at all! This is not an hotel, but a residence (even if the sign "hotel" right in front of it might be misleading), which means a completely different standard. Here you have a list of things that should be fixed: - hot water doesn't work (it lasts 10 seconds before getting cold, over and over again!) - old and uncomfortable mattress - (very mediocre) commercial products for breakfast - dirty plates at breakfast - hairs here and there in the room - no services Two stars for the building, but you might find much better places in Plovdiv!"

"I stayed in the hotel 2 times. Once during July and once during August when I was in town for business. The room is big and clean. You have a lovely view to the park. At night it's nice to walk around the part. Hotel breakfast is great. The Staff is friendly and helpful. Recommend to anyone that is looking for a good 5 star hotel in Plovdiv."

"The hotel was beautiful with marble throughout and lots of character. I’ve been travelling the world for 6 months and this is the nicest room I have had in any country. It is in the centre of the old town within easy walk of places of interest and yet it is very quiet. The owners were kind and helpful and the food was very good. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone."

"My first time visiting Plovdiv, when I arrived at the hotel I checked in and went up to my room, because it was late and I need to rest because I'm doing a big tournament in several cities in Bulgaria…. When I entered my room I was shocked by the horrible, degraded and very dirty situation for a 4 star hotel. In the morning I went to have breakfast and I came across a completely dirty restaurant and the state of the carpet was very disgusting, horrible.. I don't need to say much because you can see with your own eyes some of the photos I put here the facts of the reality that this hotel is in. Hotel stuck in time, decor from the last century, very dilapidated, a serious lack of daily cleaning for a 4-star hotel, I don't recommend it to anyone, worse than a 2 or 3-star hotel. In conclusion, I checked out of this hotel as quickly as possible. I never thought I'd find 4-star hotels in these horrible states."
