"We stayed two nights at the Le Lert Hotel. It is a very good hotel, swish and modern without being over the top. The bed was large and properly comfortable, with good soft pillows. There were coffee and tea making facilities, two bottles of complimentary water, and decent toiletries. Everything felt fresh and well thought through. Breakfast was included and of a good standard. You order from a menu the night before, which means it arrives exactly as requested and without the usual buffet scramble. It worked well. The two hotel restaurants were excellent. The food was genuinely impressive and the staff were good fun, very friendly and helpful without hovering. They clearly take pride in the place. The hotel is a little outside the centre and there are no restaurants immediately nearby. That said, with food of this quality on site there is no real need to go elsewhere. In any event a short Grab taxi ride will take you into town or over to the railway station in minutes. The only slight issue, which others have mentioned, is the air conditioning. Even on the low setting the fan is rather fierce. Unfortunately it was blowing directly onto my wife’s side of the bed, which made it slightly uncomfortable for her at night. Aside from that, all good. A smart, comfortable base and one we would happily use again."
