Shigatse Tashilhunpo Monastery Pedestrian Street Atour Hotel ★★★★

📍 1st Floor, Jinputa Center Shopping Mall, Pedestrian Street, Chengnan Subdistrict, Sangzhuzi District, Shigatse

"This hotel is really great. They offer complimentary light meals after 9 PM, which was a lifesaver for me after driving 12 hours straight. I hadn't even had lunch and arrived at the hotel late, hungry and exhausted. The thought of going out to find food was just too much. I really have to commend Atour for this thoughtful and humane service! 👍"

Hilton Shigatse ★★★★★

📍 No. 12 Shanghai Middle Road, Sangzhuzi District, Shigatse

"We called ahead to let the hotel know it was our 5th wedding anniversary and hoped they could decorate the room for us. We were so pleasantly surprised when we entered – red bedding and swans folded from towels really showed the hotel's thoughtfulness. Manager Kuang even gave us a tour of the hotel garden, where we met a cute golden retriever named Zhouzhou! I wasn't dressed appropriately to pet dogs, otherwise I definitely would have played with her. We heard they're planning to build a pet park and organize some parent-child activities soon, which sounds amazing. We hope to see it on our next visit. Special thanks to Aunt Bian Zhen from housekeeping, Manager Kuang from the front desk, and Pubu Zhaxi from security who helped us with our luggage and parking. These three were truly warm, enthusiastic, and responsible. Experiencing such excellent service in the highlands was even better than the St. Regis in Lhasa! Oh, and Miss Baima from the Liao Bar was also very lovely! We had an unforgettable anniversary."

"The room has a small window on the top of the wall, which can penetrate a little bit of light, completely different from the window in the picture, I can accept the room is small, but I can not accept the picture does not match the actual. I think the most unacceptable thing is that the room will emit a musty smell from time to time, and there are small flying insects, which seems to not be the health standard that this price should have. The hotel lobby is not bad, the front desk attitude is OK, the sanitary conditions are a bit unacceptable, I originally wanted to continue to live if this store could, and finally stayed for two days and left."

Shigatse Tashilhunpo Monastery Pedestrian Street Atour Hotel ★★★★

"A family of four stayed here. Parking was convenient, and there were all sorts of snacks right outside the hotel. The hotel is newly renovated, the environment is great, and it's very clean. The only downside was that the dryer kept alarming after continuous use; you had to stay by it and restart it when it went off. Everything else was good, the late-night congee was excellent, and breakfast was also very satisfying."

"Absolutely incredible value for money! The rooms were spotless, the dining was top-notch, and the service was surprisingly excellent – pleasant surprises everywhere. Especially Kerry, the concierge (two Golden Keys!), who was incredibly thoughtful. Our group of four stayed in two rooms and enjoyed the buffet dinner, and everyone was absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. We honestly didn't want to check out the next day. If 5 is the highest score, we'd give it a 6!"

Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. The staff were friendly and patient, answering all my questions promptly. The whole process was smooth. The guest rooms were clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding, good natural light and ventilation, a reasonable layout, and complete toiletries. The bathroom was clean and odor-free, making me feel very safe. The most positive aspect was the stable oxygen supply. Staying in a high-altitude area, I had no worries about altitude sickness. The breakfast selection was extensive, the ingredients were fresh, and the dining environment was clean and quiet. The service was prompt, making for a very comfortable dining experience. "I have stayed here several times and this time I had an unexpected experience. The summary is as follows! 1. The online order was for a good breakfast, but when I got to the hotel, they said there was no breakfast during the Chinese New Year. 2 The air conditioner in the room was on all night but the temperature kept dropping. It wasn't warm at all after being on all night. 3. There is no hot water in the washbasin. You can only use water boiled in a kettle to wash. 4 A double room with two pillows, one with several holes in it and the other one not cleaned at all!"
