Zash Country Boutique Hotel & Spa ★★★★

"It’s a shame this review isn’t higher. If I could sum up zash in two words it would be “untapped potential”. This property is stunning, and the food is excellent, but for the price of a private villa at $1190 euros it’s not worth it. As a fan of modern architecture, it is sight to marvel. But ultimately we felt the experience lacking due to the lack of service and minor details. PROS -Beautiful property is idyllic citrus groves -Private villa has its own pool, sauna and steam room -Amazing restaurant (good service at the bars and restaurant) CONS -We found a giant hairball right when we came into our room by the bedside table -Hotel staff comes off disgruntled and generally not helpful -Turn down service was virtually non existent (we left our key card in room and they didn’t clean anything and glasses sat on our deck for 2 days) -Nothing was self explanatory in room and the staff wasn’t very helpful (ac unit, sauna, etc) -then minor things were just icing on the cake, like when we left our kindle and it was just we can’t help figure it out (again minor but at that point we grew accustomed to generally unhelpful staff)"

"Stayed here for a destination wedding that was about 10 minutes away, VERY clean older B&B. Loved the pictures and antiques. There is no lift and quite a few stairs so carrying bags up was a little bit hard. In a very safe and pituresque neighborhood. Would recommend stay here if you have a car as there are no close taxis or Ubers (they come from Taromina and will charge you). Not sure sure what towns or activities are around (town very quiet) and we only stayed the two nights."

"Small, friendly hotel. Very ameniable staff, always willing to help and advise. Beautiful setting. Please note that it is a bit further out from Riposto station and a walk from the local restaurants, especially in the heat! I would recommend hiring a car for your stay. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was excellent; they were very flexible and catered to our dietary needs. Luca was particularly helpful."

He made us feel completely at home and entertained us with amazing stories from his global experiences. "All I can say is that this place is amazing. As it was out of season we were the only couple here and we were looked after like royalty. The room was beautiful, modern and rustic. Breakfast was wonderful - a cooked or continental. We were surrounded by 3000 lemon trees and the whole experience made us feel so special. We did not have a car and walked from the station and spent our stay on foot which was so easy. We cant wait to return again soon."
