"This hotel was a real surprise! From check-in to check-out, you can feel the owner's taste. Clean and tidy, with coffee and tea to choose from. The room is spacious and bright, the decoration style is modern yet warm, and the bedding is comfortable, allowing you to have a good night's sleep. The hotel's service staff is enthusiastic and ready to help at any time, which makes people feel very considerate. I recommend Leshan eel noodles, which is a 7-minute taxi ride and a 20-minute walk from the food street. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes great, meeting the needs of different tastes. "This is my second time staying at Huanli Gaokong Hotel. After my first stay last year, I enthusiastically recommended it to all my friends and relatives visiting Leshan. They all gave it five-star reviews, praising my good taste! They especially loved its cleanliness, the excellent staff attitude, and the smart, well-designed rooms. This weekend, I brought my little foodies to Leshan for a culinary trip, and I booked this hotel again without a second thought! We picked up the kids after work on Friday, and it's just a 40-minute high-speed train ride from Chengdu. Earlier in the day, the hotel called me to confirm whether we'd be driving or taking the train. The front desk suggested that guests arriving by high-speed train should directly queue for a taxi outside the station, as it's the most convenient way, costing just the minimum fare to the hotel. They explained that ride-hailing apps require walking to the underground parking lot across from the station – kudos to them for this tip! And sure enough, taking a taxi was indeed the quickest way! (Last time, when I drove, they even sent a parking guide beforehand, and front desk staff met us at the parking lot to help with luggage.) The hotel's location is absolutely superb! It's just a 10-minute taxi ride to Suji Ancient Town, and a less than 5-minute walk to the Shishao Ito mall next door. Right downstairs is Ye Po Po Bobo Chicken, and there are countless other delicious eateries nearby. Although breakfast isn't included, you're spoiled for choice with various authentic Leshan breakfast options right downstairs, like the delicious Jiujiu Doufunao and Shaomai. Leshan is a food paradise; who needs pre-packaged breakfast buns and soy milk anyway? 😄 Last night, we even ordered fried skewers for a late-night snack. There's also a Baishan Malatang downstairs; we tried it for lunch today, and the taste was simply mind-blowing. The dipping sauces were unbeatable, and the prices were so affordable – about two-thirds the cost of skewers in Chengdu! Back to the hotel itself: upon arrival, they offer complimentary lemon water, similar to Mixue Bingcheng. The front desk also sends recommendations for nearby restaurants, food streets, breakfast spots, and travel guides directly to your phone. Plus, there's a custom-made guidebook about Leshan's tourism and food in the room – such a thoughtful touch! For the kids, they provide complimentary children's slippers and dental kits. Our family room even had Little Yellow Duck kids' shampoo and body wash. The room is equipped with a coffee machine and a Bluetooth speaker. My kids absolutely loved calling out 'Xiaodu Xiaodu' to control the lights and curtains. The projector is an XGIMI, offering crystal clear resolution. The bedding is super comfortable; I checked, and it's a latex mattress. Even the hand soap dispenser is automatic! A small tip in the room mentions they offer complimentary children's pillows for kids under 10. I asked the front desk for one, and the height was perfect for our child, who was thrilled playing with building blocks. For our family of four, the 2-meter king bed was spacious enough for two adults and one child, and the smaller bed comfortably fit an older child. It didn't feel cramped at all! Waking up well-rested for a weekend of delicious food and exploration was incredibly satisfying! We couldn't book the loft family room; it's so highly sought after you need to book it well in advance! Next time, I'll definitely reserve the loft much earlier. We had originally reserved the 'Yaori' room, but upon arrival, wanting to enjoy the city night view, we switched to the 'Jiaoyue' room, which has identical amenities. I had actually stayed in this very room last year too. Finally, a special shout-out to the front desk staff – particularly the young lady who was so charming and sweet-natured. Providing such exceptional service is a major reason why I want to return and stay here again! In conclusion, you absolutely won't regret choosing this hotel when visiting Leshan!"

AAnonymous UserVery zen looking hotel very near the entrance to the Big Buddha Scenic Area. We were upgraded to a room at the first level with a huge courtyard. Though nice, we did not have the time to enjoy the extra space. Both the shower and toilet doors are of translucent glass and has no lock. 4 bottles of drinking water and 3in1 coffee are provided in the room. There's a small washing machine in the room but without full dryer function. Hotel compound is nice. Complimentary afternoon tea is actually self service biscuits, nuts and Chinese tea. There is also a free 3gb e-sim which we did not use. Free Hanfu experience is actually a few pieces of traditional clothings hung at the hotel reception where we are free to wear for self photo takings. We did not try as the costumes look like they were there for a long time and we were concerned about it's cleanliness. Breakfast is at another hotel a buggy ride away. We were supposed to be able to walk a short distance to the pier to board the ferry to see the Leshan Big Buddha but unfortunately, that pier was closed due to tide issues. We had to take the scenic bus (buggy) at RMB 15 per pax for a return trip to Wuyou ferry terminal to board the ferry. It was a long walk from the drop off point to the ferry terminal both ways. Would recommend this hotel for the room and hotel compound. However, if proximity to ferry terminal is a consideration, it pays to check that the pier near the hotel is in operation.

GGuest UserAfter a long, intensive hike at Emei Shan, I chose this hotel to recharge—and it was one of the best decisions of my trip. The building itself is stunning, with beautiful heritage-style architecture, but what really stood out was the service. From the hotel driver to the reception team and room service, every member of staff was genuinely attentive and welcoming. One highlight was the hot spring pool. I was lucky enough to have it all to myself, and it was absolutely perfect—so relaxing after a tough hike and it left me feeling completely rejuvenated. On top of that, the snack combo was a real bargain and added extra value to my stay. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, great service, and authentic charm, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s the perfect choice to unwind and enjoy an amazing stay after exploring Emei Shan.

JJasonWe were blown away with the rooms and amenities here. It’s located a short walk to the main entrance to Emeishan, but is tucked away in a cute village with countless little restaurants. The family suite was enormous with cool touches for the kids, a kitchenette, and a washing machine. My biggest regret is that we only stayed for one night. The power to the village went out early in the morning, but the staff went out of their way to take care of us before we set out on the mountain. This is no fault of the hotel (and apparently a rare occurrence) but if anything reaffirmed how well they take care of their guests. You’ll probably need to speak Chinese to arrange for any specific requests but hotel signage includes English and the staff are patient enough to probably work through a translation app. We hope to stay here again, but will extend our visit for several days to truly enjoy all the cool spots in the hotel.

SSatari GeoffreyWhat a beautiful hotel. It is situated in a very strategic location in the middle of the happening where the Giant Buddha is (around 800m to entrance gate. The pedestrian street where the hotel is located, is gorgepusly colorful illuminated in the evening until around 23:00 Xiaoyan, the hotel staff is very helpful and escorted me to my room and explained everything regarding the functionaliity of the room. Check in was also efficiently done by Xiaoyan. Thank you. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Food was sooo deliciois and competitively reasonably priced according to my opinion compared to prices in the Netherlands. The atmosphere at the bar overlooking the river is nice. Definitely want to come back again in the near future.

MM329903****The hotel's location is super convenient, just a 5-10 minute taxi ride from Emeishan Station. The Christmas vibe was amazing! I checked in on Christmas Eve, and the whole hotel was decked out in Christmas decorations with festive music playing. It felt incredibly festive! The service attitude was excellent throughout my stay: • Concierge: From the moment I arrived, staff were there to open the car door, and they did the same when I left by taxi. Very warm and welcoming~ • Front Desk: The lady at the front desk was meticulous in handling everything, spoke softly, and even upgraded my room for free 🏠 • Coffee Bar: The manager on duty was also very kind and enthusiastically offered recommendations ☕ • Housekeeping: The cleaning aunties would always greet me with a smile in the morning 🙋‍♀️ Overall, the atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming 🧸. Every staff member was friendly. Yesterday, I encountered a minor issue midway through my stay, and the staff stayed with me throughout the process, making me feel supported. It was a great experience. 💕 Dining Experience: • Breakfast: The small noodles with bamboo shoots and beef brisket were especially delicious! 🍜 • Chinese Restaurant: The food was generally okay, but I personally found some dishes a bit oily. The sweet skin duck I ordered had a slight fishy taste, but it was acceptable. • Afternoon Tea: The staff were very thoughtful, even offering takeout and packing services 📦. In the evening, I had some cocktails and ordered snacks like fries. The overall ambiance was great 🍸. • In-room Welcome Gift: In the evening, they prepared welcome fruits, which were local Emei Mountain specialties 🍊, and croissants 🥐. Very thoughtful. Room Amenities: The room was equipped with a bathtub, and the view outside the window was beautiful. The heating was excellent, and the mattress and pillows were soft and comfortable. They even thoughtfully provided two pillow heights (one high, one low). The only minor drawback was the lack of disposable bathtub liners and bath salts. Hot Springs and Pool: Guests can enjoy the hot springs and there's also a swimming pool. The hot springs are split into indoor and outdoor sections. The outdoor section is a large pool without much decorative design, but the water temperature and quality were both excellent. Travel Photography Service: The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photography service, including 3 free photos. The photographer was very professional and patiently guided me on poses; the retoucher was also very skilled, and the photos turned out beautifully! Value for Money: The price was very reasonable, and the facilities and services were definitely worth it. Little Highlight: I noticed a small detail: even the sand-filled receptacles for cigarette butts had the hotel's logo on them, showing great attention to detail. Minor Flaw: Yesterday, I requested turn-down service, but it wasn't carried out. However, the front desk lady promptly prepared a small gift as compensation 🎁, and her handling of the situation was very good. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Emeishan~ 🎀

AAnonymous Userhis place is near the Emeishan train station, which is convenient for travelers who need to go to the station early in the morning to buy tickets or visit Emeishan by bus. The hotel seems to have been open for a very long time, and the renovation appears quite old-fashioned. However, this doesn’t significantly affect the overall cleanliness of the hotel, although some areas might not be as clean due to the age of the building. During our stay, the toilet bowl was clogged. We informed the front desk before leaving, and the issue was resolved by the time we returned. The breakfast is average with limited options, but every morning a staff brings it to our room. Since the breakfast is free and included, there isn’t much to complain about. Overall, this place is value for money.

AAnanBourneI revisited after six years, and my child is now eight. The service attitude and quality for most facilities are still good, especially the thoughtful uncle at the hot spring pools who offered great guidance. However, the room's amenities are showing their age; the bathroom mirror light is insufficient, and several lamps barely work. The breakfast, in particular, has declined significantly. The difference from before is stark; it used to be excellent in both portion size and taste, but now it's really disappointing. The noodle station is a prime example: tiny portions, and you can no longer add your own toppings. The auntie adds them herself and then serves it. If you ask for more because it's too little, she gives you a reluctant look, and even after adding more, you still have to search hard for the toppings in your noodles. It feels like begging. The hot spring pools weren't warm enough; the indoor wave pool got cold quickly if you stayed in too long, and it was the same for the outdoor pools. You had to rush into a bathrobe immediately after getting out, or you'd easily catch a cold. Aside from the hot springs, there's really nothing competitive left. I won't be staying here again. At this price point, there are simply too many other options.

GGuest UserThe location is convenient, several minutes walk from the Leidongping shuttle bus station, and easy to find. The room is compact and clean but has not much space for luggage. Facilities are basic but enough for a good night rest. There is no air conditioning but the floor heating and heating blankets provide enough warmth. The shower water is decently warm. The bedding is clean. The stuff are friendly and helpful and offers morning calls for sunrise watching. They provide homemade meals which are filling and decently tasty but not cheap, which is understandable because of the difficulty in getting ingredients at near mountain top.

MM258245****The accommodation at Leidongping was rather basic. It was good that our upstairs room had an external window, so it wasn't damp and didn't have any musty smell. However, the facilities were definitely old and outdated, but it was tolerable for just one night. The main drawbacks were the poor sound insulation and the inconsistent water temperature, which kept fluctuating between hot and cold. I hope the owner invests in some much-needed upgrades!
