The hotel boasts an excellent location, offering incredibly convenient access for exploring both the city center and surrounding areas. The rooms are a good size, immaculately clean, and the housekeeping service is exceptionally thorough. Both the front desk and room service staff were very warm and attentive. The breakfast was also particularly delicious. This is definitely a highly recommended hotel.

Saga doesn't have a vast selection of hotels. Traveling with my parents, I picked this one for its Japanese-style room, hoping they could experience sleeping on a tatami mat.
When we arrived, it wasn't yet check-in time. However, the hotel kindly allowed us to complete the check-in formalities and store our luggage. We then headed straight out to explore the nearby Prefectural Office and grab some lunch.
Upon our return in the afternoon, we simply collected our room key and went directly upstairs. Our luggage had already been conveniently placed in our room.
The room wasn't particularly large; it felt a bit cramped for three people. We coordinated with the front desk before heading out for the evening, and they came in to lay out the futons while we were gone.
Breakfast is served on the first floor. Looking at the price displayed at the entrance, I'd say it wouldn't offer great value for money if purchased separately.
Additionally, as Saga isn't a very bustling city, if you're particular about dining options, staying closer to the station might be more convenient.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, especially if your budget allows for it!
The room windows offer direct views of the moat, and the hotel is incredibly close to attractions like the hot air balloon festival grounds and shrines.
**Transportation:** From Saga Station, you can take the Showa Bus (towards Karatsu) directly to the hotel. Alternatively, the most convenient option is to simply take a taxi.
**Service:** I absolutely have to commend the hotel's front desk staff! They were an enormous help! Due to heavy rains in the Kyushu region, I found myself stranded in Saga and had difficulty getting around. I wanted to arrange for my luggage to be sent directly to my next hotel in Fukuoka. A lady wearing glasses at the front desk was exceptionally helpful in assisting me with filling out the Takkyubin (luggage delivery service) forms. Even though the courier company ultimately couldn't guarantee delivery to my next hotel before my departure due to the heavy rain, the hotel staff's assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated!
**Dining:** When it's too hot in summer, taking a break at the hotel's first-floor cafe, sipping coffee and enjoying the views, is a fantastic way to relax. (The Baumkuchen is delicious!)

The facilities are genuinely old; some pieces might even be original from when the hotel opened decades ago. As an older high-star hotel, the service was quite good. We had an issue with the air conditioning, but changing rooms was handled very smoothly. The location isn't ideal; I'd recommend choosing a place closer to a JR station instead.

The hotel is conveniently located near City Hall, and the lobby offers beautiful views. While the facilities might be a bit dated, they are impeccably clean and tidy. The service is excellent; it's very convenient to leave your key at the front desk when you go out and pick it up upon your return. There's a bus stop just over 200 meters away, providing easy access to Saga Station, and convenient direct buses to Karatsu are also available!

The Hotel is in an Old Area of Saga Japan and the Hotel also feels very old. Not my ideal type of accommodation.

I've stayed here twice in the last six months. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. While it's a bit of a walk from the station, that wasn't an issue.

This hotel has a more classic and vintage-style room design, but the space was decent and everything was very clean. One lovely feature is the small chapel in the hotel lobby, which seems to be used for weddings—it added a warm and charming touch. The scenery right next to the hotel is also beautiful, making the overall stay quite pleasant.
