Laguna Hotel Suites

"My family and I stayed at this hotel as tourists from February 11 shortly after midnight until February 14 just before midnight, and it was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the receptionist refused to give us the family suite we had specifically paid extra for through ***********. We booked the suite because we are traveling with our eight year old daughter who needs her own bed. Instead, we were given a very small room with barely enough space to place a mattress on the floor. When we asked for a proper bed, a staff member left a mattress outside the door and walked away without any assistance. The room was shockingly dirty and in very poor condition. There were cracks in the walls, everything looked worn out, and the cleanliness was far below any acceptable standard. The entire room had a strong smell of food and curry, which made it very unpleasant to stay in. After a long and frustrating discussion with the staff, we were finally moved to a larger room. Unfortunately, this room was not much better. It was also in terrible condition, with visible cracks in the walls and a shower that barely worked. The breakfast was of very low quality and honestly not edible. Communication with the staff was difficult, as they did not seem to understand simple requests. To make matters worse, the fire alarm suddenly went off without any apparent reason, forcing us to run down the stairs from the tenth floor in the middle of our stay. None of the staff handled the situation properly or offered any clear explanation. In my opinion, this hotel deserves no more than two stars. I genuinely do not understand how it has been rated as a four star property, as this does not reflect reality. I would strongly advise others not to spend a single Kuwaiti dinar on staying here."
