Orakai Insadong Suites Reviews

Housekeeping is supposed to be available on certain days but it was not attentively done. Beds were simply made without changing of linens unless there is a request to do so. Floors were not cleaned with strands of hair visibly seen and stained. Mold was everywhere at the edges of the shower area. Cupboards and tables showed age and are really in need of a change. There was no supply of slippers as well. Fresh towels and clearing of rubbish need to be requested as they do not provide automatically. There are some good points though. There is a washer/dryer and all cooking/heating essentials are available. The fridge is very big also. In addition, staff at the reception speak good English so there was no issue in communication. Location is at heart of Insadong and there are 2 convenience stores outside the hotel for simple food fare and amenities to get. Coffee Bean is right in the hotel for quick coffee break.

This was my third visit at Orakai Suites. The location is great and all staff are warm and attentive. I will stay again in my This was my third visit at Orakai Suites Suites . The location of the hotel is great and easy access to all tourist points. It is easy  and convenient to nearby restaurants and supermarkets. This is an 7-11 shop cross the road. I will stay there again in my next trip.

Good service, polite staff and generally good location.

Overall, my experience was excellent. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The accommodation was an apartment-style unit, featuring a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop and all necessary dinnerware – truly a 'ready-to-move-in' setup. While I didn't get to use them, having such home-like amenities provided a wonderfully relaxing sense of comfort during my travels.

The location is good for exploring the alleyways of Ikseon-dong. Gwanghwamun, Jonggak, and Cheonggyecheon were within walking distance. The room offered a great view of Namsan Tower, and the night view was fantastic. The kitchen was well-equipped and the room was spacious, but the washing machine wasn't clean, so I wasn't able to use it.

Stayed at the Orakai Insadong numerous times since 2013 and had always enjoyed the stays with the last one in 2018. Returning to this property in 2025 was quite a letdown. The furniture and beddings at property are definitely showing their age. The king size bed had a lumpy mattress and the pillows were flat as pancakes. The carpet in the bedrooms was stained and old with a lot of noticeable dust. I woke up hacking one night due to an allergic reaction to the dust in the room and ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room. The property’s location is top notch but sadly absent a major refurbishment of its assets, I am not sure it warrants its 4-star rating when there are many newer properties which are better managed around the same area.

The hotel location is superb, near to many tourist attraction and restaurants. Font desk service is very friendly and efficient. Nice place to stay for your Insadong trip.

Great choice for families with young kids We had a fantastic stay at Orakai Insadong with our two little ones. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the kids loved the playroom and pool area. Staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help: they even spoke excellent English, which made things easier. The only small downside was the simple room design, but everything was spotless and practical. Perfect base for exploring Seoul with children!

The location is perfect: in the middle of Insadong, and a short walk to many restaurants and subway stations. The front desk staff are friendly and polite, but they are somewhat limited in terms of range of services they can assist with. The housekeeping schedule is also limited (full service only 2 days per week; rest of the time, limited to towel service and room organizing (garbage removal, etc.). The breakfast buffet is decent quality but somewhat limited in comparison to 4-star hotels. I rented 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom suites, which I thought could use some upgrades (worn couches and furniture, appliances which needed maintenance), but overall were very decent value propositions.

The room was spacious. The location is incredibly convenient, being very close to Insadong and Ikseondong. There's an art street right downstairs, along with many great food streets. I hope to stay here again on my next visit.

Having a kitchen and washing machine was incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, and Myeongdong is easily accessible.

Very old and dirty furniture and room., not even extra pillows will never go back again

I absolutely love this place! It's spacious, with a washing machine, dryer, and a kitchen. We’re staying here during Chinese New Year, and when the weather is too cold to be outside due to the cold alert, we can just stay indoors all day. The area is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, snacks, and convenience stores, making our 7-night stay so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again next time!

Certain room not up to standard. Quite dark.  We did change room but it was a smooth transition . I did use the gym . Quite well maintain. Overall. Not bad
