Jianguo Hidden Hotel (shanghai hongqiao station and exhibition center)

I was very satisfied with my stay this time! The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and bright, with a cozy ambiance and spotlessly clean, featuring soft and comfortable bedding. The front desk staff provided warm and attentive service, and the late-night congee was delicious. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, making it a truly enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The room was spotlessly clean with a refined, Zen-inspired design that felt very sophisticated. Thoughtful touches included a calligraphy brush and a copybook for the Orchid Pavilion Preface, as well as special Jiuhua Huangjing tea bags for brewing. The breakfast spread was very extensive, and the location offered extremely convenient access to Hongqiao Railway Station.

My stay this time was excellent! The hotel room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable. The late-night snack was also delicious, and the laundry service was very convenient; my clothes came back clean and smelling fresh. The hotel staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose to stay here again.

The design is simple and elegant. 3. **Cleanliness:** Overall, I was very disappointed. The moment I opened the room door upon check-in, several hygiene issues immediately stood out and frankly, quite angered me. The bathroom floor had obvious stains and dried marks from an unknown liquid. In three different corners, there were noticeable ***** hairs and strands of hair – not just one or two, but multiple. On the balcony, I found cigarette butts left by the previous guest. This level of cleaning is simply too rough; it either indicates a lack of proper training standards or lax management, as such obvious problems shouldn't exist. 4. **Service:** Before any problems arose, the reception was quite ordinary. However, I must admit that once the cleanliness issues were reported, their handling was very proactive and swift. They offered a solution quickly. It was already past midnight when I checked in, and I was exhausted, so I didn't have the energy to keep fussing. They simply moved me to another room, and I settled in. I was quite surprised by such blatant cleanliness issues. This review is intended to be objective, neither exaggerating the problems nor overlooking the positive aspects, and is offered purely for reference. I urge all hotels to prioritize cleanliness above all else in their management, as it is a fundamental requirement.

The hotel has a great ambiance and is incredibly convenient, being very close to both the high-speed train station and Hongqiao Airport. A delightful surprise was the complimentary late-night sweet Tremella soup – a truly heartwarming touch. During the day, while my friend and I were waiting for our ride in the lobby, they thoughtfully served us tea. They also offer 24-hour self-service laundry and a gym on the B1 level. I would definitely stay here again if I need to!

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming; while I was relaxing in the lobby, they even brought me a complimentary cup of their Pucha tea. My guest room was spotless, too. I also noticed them preparing late-night snacks when I passed by the front desk in the evening – a truly thoughtful gesture! I'll definitely be back to stay here on my next trip to Shanghai.
