Dengba Inn (Shanghai Textile Market Zhenxin New Village Subway Station Branch)

I stayed for one night at Dengba Inn and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The location is excellent—just a few meters from the Zhenxin New Village subway station, which made it very easy to find and convenient for getting around Shanghai. The hostel has a spacious common area that’s clean, well-lit, and perfect for relaxing or socializing with other travelers. It gave the place a cozy, welcoming vibe. My room was also larger than expected for a 6-person dorm, with plenty of space to move around and store luggage. The bed was soft and comfortable, and although I had to make the bed myself (which was a bit unusual), the bedding was clean and neatly stored inside the locker along with ample space for my belongings. Once set up, it felt very homey and private. Bathrooms and shared facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the whole place had a relaxed, backpacker-friendly atmosphere. Staff were polite and helpful, although I didn’t need much assistance during my short stay. For budget-conscious travelers or those looking for an easy, comfortable place to stay near public transport, I’d highly recommend Dengba Inn. It offers great value for money, with clean rooms, a fantastic location, and a chill vibe that makes it easy to feel at home—even if just for a night.

This is my first time booking a hotel with less than 9/10 review. Never let reviews fool you.😂😂 So far the most affordable, spacious and cleaned 6 persons per room I have seen in Beijing or Shanghai. I was shocked how big the room was compared to other hotels. A partition separated the WC from bathroom which doesn’t makes the whole place wet, it very uncommon in most hotel in China. This is a PLUS to the hotel. All services were on point 100%. Staff was professional and friendly. Once I checked out they gave me a free bottle of tea for my next travel which was really nice of their hospitality. Free dispensary drinking water, cleaned eating area and the common area at the reception desk was big enough and cleaned. Location is easy to find, 3 minutes to the subway station. Many Shopping markets, restaurants nearby. I think this hotel should have 10/10 on reviews. I highly recommend this hotel for affordability, cleanliness, professionalism and hospitality.

China have a serious problem with men smoking, they literally smoke everywhere, at your face. I don’t smoke and I have allergies, so this was a problem to me. The hostal was ok, the staff was really nice, but even though there was so many outside areas, everyone smoke in the toilets, the smell take all the room, that was terrible disgusting! If you have problems with smoke like me, don’t choose this place. I sent a message before telling them that I would like to be far as possible from the smokers and the first thing that I saw when I came in in my room was a guy smoking peacefully. They have rules against smoke in closed places but looks like the rules doesn’t work at all. Really disappointing!!

Everything about this location is good and they had kind people working there

This hotel is very nice. The service officer is amazing. Good, we're greeted with great excitement. And since we're foreigners and our Mandarin is not good enough they keep serving us well. The location is strategic and close to the subway. In addition, the room is very comfortable and the facilities are excellent starting from a comfortable sleeping room, air conditioning, hot water, and washing machine and room for relaxation and eating. All guests are very attentive to the rules (noiseless at night) and highly value privacy. And they're very attentive to the cleanliness of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to all of you who want to travel to Shanghai.
