Pod Inn (Shanghai Pudong Airport)

Transferred here last minute after a bad night in another hotel. Solid, affordable airport hotel with free transfer and vending machines, kind staff, and friendly, safe atmosphere.

It was the worst experience ever! First, they lie about their shuttle schedule. It was supposed to be 24 hours a day but turned out it’s not true. Also, airport drop off provided very limited time slots even though the booking said it was supposed to be 24 hours also. Second, they don’t inform that their shuttle doesn’t drop you off in front of the hotel doors. Instead, they dropped me off in the middle of a dark road and the bus driver waved down the stairs! How am I supposed to bring two luggages downstairs and then up the next morning??? Third, the staff was so rude! They don’t speak English at all and when you want to use a translator to ask questions, they look at you with annoyance and try to finish the ‘conversation’ asap. Also, the hotel itself is terrible. I do understand I can’t expect something nice for that money but please, don’t lie! The photos don’t match the reality. Everything is dirty, I couldn’t even take a shower. Everything smells like cigarettes (I chose a non-smoking room). People smoke inside the halls, near the elevator, literally EVERYWHERE. I hate it! I really don’t understand how come the hotel has so many 5-star reviews. Did you guys get paid?😅 I was relying on the reviews, such a shame. ❌there was no wifi in the room. I honestly don’t think anyone would enjoy that type of stay😅 Don’t make the same mistake as me!

Don't have the chance to stay here bcos I changed my itinerary but I believe the hotel is good. Looking fwd to stay there in the future

If you plan to visit Shanghai this hotel is far from the main attractions and almost in the country side. However it is clean.
