The room was very clean and tidy. The front desk staff even gave us a complimentary room upgrade. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area for a business trip again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, situated right next to several metro lines, making it extremely convenient for both arrivals and departures. It's located on the third floor of Jinfeng Building and is accessible via a direct elevator. I had booked a single room but was upgraded to a king-size bed. While the room wasn't large, it was very well-appointed and even included a washing machine and refrigerator. The air conditioning was very effective in the summer, and the shower had excellent water pressure. It's truly an ideal place to stay when visiting Shanghai, and most importantly, it offers great value for money. My only minor suggestion would be to either update the bath towels or provide disposable ones; this would enhance the overall experience even further.

The location is fantastic. Li Garden, Joy City, and Nanjing West Road are all within easy walking distance. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful; understanding my preference for a quieter room, they even helped me with a room upgrade. I'd like to start by highlighting the hotel's excellent location and incredibly convenient transportation. The hotel is less than 50 meters from Hanzhong Road Metro Station, Exit 7. Getting to popular spots like the Shanghai Museum, Huaihai Road, and The Bund was a breeze.
Another reason I chose this hotel for my trip to Shanghai was my intention to do a morning run along Suzhou Creek, which is renowned as one of Shanghai's best running routes. The hotel is only about a hundred meters from the river, making it incredibly convenient. It was wonderful to experience the well-maintained and beautiful environment Shanghai provides for public fitness and outdoor activities.
The only minor drawback, however, was that the room was a bit on the smaller side.

It's a basic hotel akin to an Ibis Budget in Europe. Don't expect luxuries, frills or a fully renovated room. It's quite good for the price. Exit 10 of Hanzhong Road metro station is only 20-30m away from the hotel. You can get to the very city center in around 20-25 minutes. Washing machine inside the room is a big plus. You can ask for detergent at the front desk. Staff is kind and helped me to use the washing machine. The only way to communicate with them in English is Google Translate on the phone.

Facilities: The hotel offers excellent facilities, including a mini-fridge and a washing machine.
Environment: The hotel environment is great – very clean and well-maintained. Its location is super convenient, right across from a subway entrance.
Service: The front desk staff, especially the young lady, was incredibly friendly. They even upgraded our room and kindly reminded us to take an umbrella when we checked out. 🌂👍👍
I would definitely choose Shiguang Zhi Lü again for my next trip.

I love the location which is right opposite to the subway stations. I can easily go anywhere I want. The room is quite small, but it has all the needed facilities. There’s a Lawson right under it so we can grab food easily but it does not operate 24/7.
