The location is great, with many malls and dining options nearby. We walked all over the charming surrounding streets like Wukang Road and Julu Road – perfect for a leisurely stroll. Compared to The Puli Hotel Beijing, this Shanghai branch is at a similar price point but the overall facilities feel much older. The room was small, and the layout lacked the spaciousness and grandeur of Beijing's. The bathroom floor was slippery, the space was cramped, and it had a narrow, elongated shape. It didn't make me want to return for another stay. On a positive note, breakfast was good, served semi-buffet style. The soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) were delicious.

The Puli is, without a doubt, *the* hotel to stay at whenever you're in Shanghai. Its prime location makes dining, shopping, and exploring incredibly convenient. My overwhelming impression of the staff was one of quiet grace and impeccable courtesy. The bathrooms, linens, and soundproofing were also exceptionally good. Overall, I absolutely loved my stay! 💕

The hotel is quite dated; its excellent location is truly its only redeeming quality. The room was very dusty, with noticeable dust on the blinds and an unclean fabric headboard. The bathroom didn't feature a smart toilet, and the inward-swinging door felt quite inconvenient. However, the location is superb – it's only 50 meters from Exit 9 of Jing'an Temple Metro Station and surrounded by various commercial districts perfect for dining and shopping. The vibrant JuFuChang area (Julu, Fumin, Changle Roads) is also just across the elevated road, making it incredibly convenient for brunch and afternoon tea.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here, and it's always exceptional. I genuinely don't want to stay at any other hotel in Shanghai now! 😂 All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lady who assisted me with my check-out at 7 AM on August 22nd. ❤️ The lobby bar offers great drinks, and their seasonal menu is a delightful touch! The only 'downside' is that the beds are *so* incredibly comfortable that after all these stays, I still haven't managed to get myself to the gym in the mornings! 🤣 I also just discovered that Metro Line 7 goes directly to Longyang Road, and Exit 9 is right outside the hotel! This is absolutely perfect for someone like me who gets carsick and prefers taking the subway for airport transfers. 🥰 (And a bonus tip: even if you accidentally take the wrong line, you can exit from Line 2 at Reel Department Store, head to B1, and easily transfer to the Line 7 exit. Super convenient!)

I particularly enjoyed the contemporary Chinese design of the hotel. The rooms were elegantly furnished and incredibly comfortable. The hotel's lobby bar had a wonderful ambiance, and it was a real pleasure to unwind there with a drink in the evening. The location of the hotel is superb, making it very convenient for exploring the area and doing some shopping.

The hotel's overall design is superb; I was specifically drawn here by Jaya's work. The front desk service was also excellent. At the bar, I tried an innovative drink: beer-flavored tea. The only minor drawback was a slight musty smell in the room upon arrival. Goslin at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helpful, and Belle's check-in follow-up service was incredibly thoughtful, even gifting us some of the hotel's homemade macarons. I'll definitely be back next time!

Seriously, what a joke. Due to a typhoon, I had to change my plans and check out at 6 AM. I requested a refund for breakfast, but it was denied. I was under the impression they would call me back to process the breakfast refund. Instead, it turns out they had made an accounting error and undercharged me for one night's stay. When I didn't answer their call, they simply went ahead and charged my card without my consent. This is truly outrageous. This is the first negative review I've ever written, and this has to be the most absurd hotel experience I've had in 25 years. As for their promise to 'contact you later,' you can wait all you want – nobody will actually bother to help.

The hotel's location is perfect – a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. The design is very stylish, and the rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy, with some offering views of Jing'an Temple. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and very efficient. I also really appreciated that the pool is exclusive to guests and always has a lifeguard on duty.
