The room was exceptionally well-appointed, featuring a smart toilet and an excellent smart electric toothbrush. The mattress was incredibly comfortable too. It's clear the owner has put a lot of care and thought into every detail. The staff member was also wonderfully warm and friendly, even inviting me to join them for their staff lunch. I truly appreciated every single person working here. This was hands down the best and most unique experience I've had in Shangri-La.

Location is great. It's inside the lijiang Ancient city & also close to road with access to cars so you don't have to drag your luggage in the ancient city. It's also quiet at night for restful sleep. Hotel has aircon, electric blankets, good hot showers and also heater at the shower area to keep u warm at all times during the colder times. Also an oxygen machine free for use. Only improvement is the black out curtains r not very black out, so the room will not be entirely blacked out. They provide only one time use disposable towels which some prefer for hygiene but I still prefer the normal towels. Daily housekeeping is not provided unless requested and advised that no valuables in the room. Toilet is leaky so the floor is always kinda wet. For travellers, late may / early June is kinda their rainy season so it's a bit troublesome when going to attractions. Rain is not heavy and with occasional sun.

I visited Shangri-La in mid-August and stayed at this newly opened guesthouse. I was particularly attracted by the resident cats and even brought some food specifically to feed them. Vehicles are prohibited in the ancient town center, but thankfully, this guesthouse is accessible by car. It's also just a 4-5 minute walk from Moonlight Square. The room was quite spacious with a separate wet/dry bathroom. There's a drying rack in the hallway. Breakfast is served on the second floor. We left early in the morning to catch the sightseeing bus from the East Gate, and they thoughtfully packed us some delicious highland barley cakes. It wasn't cold at night, and an oxygen concentrator was provided.

The inn is located halfway up the mountain. The view from the room is truly amazing, overlooking the ancient city, and even more spectacular at night. Just a short walk away is Sifang Street, where you can enjoy the Guozhuang dance, which is very lively at night. It's also very close to the Big Buddha Temple, where you can turn the prayer wheels, and explore the entire ancient city. The room was clean and hygienic, with all the necessary amenities. The owner also offers a free shuttle service to and from the station, which is fantastic. I'll definitely stay here next time!
