Linghang Garden Hotel (Shenzhen Daqianli Pingzhou Subway Station)

Hotel is fine and rooms are good but their breakfast needs to be more hygiene

Foreigner Review Staff friendly and super helpful despite language barrier. Location is great, close to metro and heaps of local food options which was our target area as travellers. Room was clean and didn't smell of cigarettes which was awesome. These reviews suck, as we want to leave 10/10 as the staff are so great, but unfortunately need to deduct for noise (walls quite thin, but we also got unlucky with less that ideal neighbors), as well as the air-con being on some sort of timer (stops pumping cold air but is still "on"). I post this on all my Chinese reviews to help internationals, as the cigarette situation is diabolical in hotels. When on trip, always book for a hotel that has ALL rooms as non-smoking. Not some non-smoking available, or if the hotel has other rooms which allow smoking. These type of hotels tend to just throw some bleach or spray room freshener and tell you no-one has smoked there. Even doing all that, you can't be guaranteed a room that doesn't stink of cigarettes, but this is the best we could do and had we had a ~80% success rate with this method.

The hotel is nice and clean too bad no breakfast buffet during Chinese new year time.
